Pictures of an interesting LEGO set have been circulating for a while now with a mysterious Chinese Dragon. A lot of people thought the preliminary images were fake, but in fact it turned out to be a genuine LEGO set, although limited edition. The set I’m talking about is the #10250 LEGO Year of the Snake. Check it out below! 🙂
It appears that the #10250 LEGO Year of the Snake set is a variation of the #6914 LEGO Creator Prehistoric Hunters set released in 2012, with extra instructions and parts to build the Chinese Dragon and that beautiful gateway with two snakes printed on the door.
The LEGO Year of the Snake set seems to be an exclusive to Asian markets (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.) as most of the writing on the box and the instructions are in Chinese only. 😕
At least to me the most exciting part in the Chinese Dragon set is the printed round door with the two red snakes. It is a really exclusive piece I would love to get my hands on, and hope will eventually show up on BrickLink and other online LEGO marketplaces.
If you own the #6914 LEGO Creator Prehistoric Hunters set (or if you just want to try to build the Chinese Dragon from your current LEGO collection) you can download the building instructions as a PDF file here: DOWNLOAD LEGO YEAR OF THE SNAKE INSTRUCTIONS
If you don’t have the #6914 LEGO Creator Prehistoric Hunters, you can get it directly from the Online LEGO Shop, then use the instruction above to build the Chinese Dragon. Unfortunately you won’t have that gorgeous gateway, but at least you would have an awesome dragon! 😀
So what do you think? How do you like the LEGO Year of the Snake set? And for our Asian readers; have you seen this set already? Would love to know if it is already on the market! Let us know, and share your thoughts in the comment section below! 😉
The New Year is here, and LEGO wants to make sure it starts out with a bang! I thought to share with you some of the best ones. 😛
