I found something interesting yesterday on this website that sells bizarre stuff (yeah, don’t ask me how I got there) and I thought to share: LEGO Construction Candy. If you are an avid LEGO fan who needs to have everything around you in the shape of LEGO bricks, you might want to check it out. Here is a picture of the LEGO Construction Candy bricks. š

Cool, huh? The colors of the LEGO candy bricks are kind of muted, but they look quite durable andĀ buildable. As far as edibility, it is candy, so don’t expect it to be good for you. It is basically sugar with artificial flavors and colors. I guess munching on an occasional LEGO candy brick won’t hurt, just don’t eat a whole castle at once!
Here is the official description of the LEGO candy: Construct the perfect bridge, wall, fort, home, then eat it! These ridiculous LEGO candy bricksĀ look pretty close to their plastic counterparts but taste so much better. You don’t have to be a kid to love toys again because you can just eat these suckers if anyone catches you playing on the kitchen table. The handful of LEGO candy bricks that come in each bag are super fun to play with because they construct and attach just like the real thing. – One bag per package. – 2 oz. bag, 56 grams, 25-30 pieces per bag. And the price is $1.99 per package.
There are other ways to make edible LEGO bricks like using melted chocolate in a LEGO ice-cube tray (see: How to Make LEGO Chocolate… Yum!!!), or making LEGO brick shaped gummy-candies (also using the LEGO ice-cube tray). They are of course very yummy, but as far as buildability, the LEGO candy above seems to be the best option (no melting or stickiness).
I could see some fun uses for these… what do you think? What would you build with LEGO candy bricks? Share your ideas below! š
