CUUSOO project: LEGO Music Architecture

Here is a wonderful LEGO CUUSOO project that is gaining momentum and worthy of your support: LEGO Music Architecture, featuring LEGO pianos and other classical keyboard-instruments by Hidaka.

The idea of this LEGO CUUSOO project is to create a set of LEGO minifigure size keyboard-instruments. Besides building-instructions for the LEGO pianos, the sets would also include information about the instruments’ history and making. Also the sets would feature minifigure versions of famous composers and details of their life.

Adding information about the musical instruments would make the LEGO Music Architecture sets not just appealing to LEGO fans, but also music fans. The concept is similar to the LEGO Architecture sets, where a nicely detailed booklet is included about the structure featured, as well as the architect who designed it. This makes the sets suitable as novelty gift items for people outside of the LEGO community. Check out this video:

And of course having unique minifigures in each of the LEGO Music Architecture set, would appeal to collectors, as well as LEGO fans. The currently included ideas for minifigure composers include: Bach, Chopin, Mozart and Beethoven. Who wouldn’t want to have those big-wigs in their minifigure collection? 🙄

Here are some other musical instruments that are currently included in the LEGO Music Architecture series: grand piano, upright piano, harpsichord and pipe-organ. I’m sure other interesting instruments can be added as well.

The LEGO Music Architecture project currently has close to 3,000 votes on LEGO CUUSOO. If you would like this project to be made into official LEGO sets, please vote for it – every vote is important. Remember that LEGO projects listed on CUUSOO need 10,000 votes before LEGO would consider making them into sets, so share it with your friends. If you would like this project to succeed please vote: GO HERE TO VOTE

Also, if you go to the LEGO CUUSOO page, Hidaka has provided building instructions and parts lists for both the grand piano and the upright piano, in case you would like to build one yourself. Just scroll down about half-way through the page: PIANO INSTUCTIONS HERE

What do you think of the LEGO Music Architecture sets? Do you think they would make great LEGO sets? What other musical instruments would you add to the line? And how about composers? Share your thoughts and ideas in the comment section below! 😉

2013 LEGO: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

We were just talking about 2013 LEGO themes, (see: 2013 LEGO Theme Mystery – What is This?) so I thought to add this other interesting bit of news to the list: LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! 😛

There has been rumors circulating about a LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme for some time now, that a source from the LEGO Users Group in Singapore recently solidified. According to member chongcheng a staff of a local LEGO shop said that LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles key-chains will be coming soon, which of course could only mean sets as well!

Currently there is no information about specific LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets, except that they will be based on the new TMNT series debuting this September on the Nickelodeon TV channel. LEGO has worked with Nickelodeon before on SpongeBob SquarePants, which makes the whole idea of Ninja Turtles even more likely – although remember that until we get confirmation from LEGO, this news remains in the rumor category. 😎

Please note that the image above is NOT an official LEGO image, but a project on LEGO CUUSOO, I just thought to add it here for reference. KeTi’s version of the LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is based on the original TMNT series, not the upcoming remake, but it still gives you a decent idea of what the famous Turtles could look like. And here is a poster for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series:

What do you think of the idea of a LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme? Are you excited, or LEGO TMNT is not something you would be interested in? Share your thoughts and discuss below! 😉
