As with all things LEGO, I’ve learned it’s very important to give feedback, for things you like and things you don’t like. Feedback is a very powerful tool to affect change. And it’s even more important with CUUSOO because it’s in beta. They do want feedback on how to improve. So I recommend you speak up any time you think of something that could be improved.
The downside to the Feedback feature on LEGO CUUSOO is that you have to sign up for a different account with a service called Get Satisfaction. It’s not a built-in feature so it’s kind of bothersome to have to sign up for a different service. If you can get past this annoyance, it’s really very easy to leave feedback.
To find the Feedback area, just look at the right side of your screen. There’s a little gray and white box that’s labeled Feedback. It’s there no matter what you do or where you go on the site. Once you click on it, it brings up a small pop-up in the middle of your screen and grays out the page behind.
Here’s where you can give feedback as well as browse what other people have said. On the left is the entry form. There are the four topics you can choose from: Ideas, Questions, Problems and Praise. Then you describe your feedback, give it a title and add an emoticon if you want. On the right, you can see what’s popular in the chosen topic and then See and Rate More Ideas.
If you click on See and Rate More, it opens a new window or tab, depending on how your browser is set up. There are the four topics down the left plus a new one called Updates, but CUUSOO doesn’t utilize Updates. If you click on a topic, it opens a submenu below it which has Frequently Asked, Answered, Needs Answer and Recent.
Otherwise, there’s a search-bar on the top right of every page if you have a keyword that you’re looking for. This Feedback feature is actually very well organized, which makes finding what you’re looking for a breeze. Conversations even start up on various topics, which, for right now, is one of the few ways to interact with other CUUSOO users other than on specific project pages.
Speaking of which, here are some more CUUSOO projects that I’d like to highlight. I’ve decided to focus on variety today so no two projects will be alike. Hopefully something will catch your interest enough to have you support it. 🙂
💡 LEGO CATHEDRAL & FEAST OF FOOLS: I know this will be controversial since it’s a religious building, but it would fit perfectly with the LEGO Medieval Market and Joust sets. I’ve been quite anxious for LEGO to make more large-scale medieval buildings and so far they really haven’t done much. It may be because there are so many fantastic fan-creations that LEGO is intimidated, but whatever the case, I believe CUUSOO is probably the only way we’re going to get any kind of large-scale castle-type building. And this is one that I absolutely love. I just hope that the project creator posts pictures of the back so we can get a full sense of the creation. 💡 LEGO GANGSTERS’ GETAWAY CAR: While I’m not much into vehicles, this gangster car is just too cool. It’s very detailed and well built. I think this would probably do better paired with a building, but as is, I’d definitely buy it. I mean, CUUSOO doesn’t have to be all about large-scale models. I think it’d be neat to see some small LEGO sets produced through CUUSOO. And this is definitely one I’d like made. (Click on image for full description and more photos.)

💡 NEW PLATES & TILES FOR CORNERS: Something I haven’t really focused on yet are the projects that propose new LEGO piece-types. I think these projects are much underrated so here’s one that I’d love to see made. Corner pieces are a great way to secure and solidify creations, but we’re pretty limited to square plates and bricks. This project offers the concept of a rounded corner plate, a rounded corner tile and a square corner tile. (Click on image for full description and more photos.)

💡 LEGO STAR TREK: Now I am going to reveal something that I haven’t told anyone in a long time – I am a Trekkie. Well, I’m not as much of a fan as I used to be, but I grew up on The Next Generation and it was a big part of my life. I think there’s a lot of Trekkies out there that would love to see some LEGO Star Trek ships. I know I would buy any and so would a few people I know. While this particular project may not be what everyone wants, it’s the best current Star Trek project on CUUSOO and has the potential to be more if people support and comment on it.
