The LEGO Chinese New Year sets have been a big hit in the past few years, and it looks like next year is going to be no exception. LEGO recently added images and descriptions of all the upcoming sets celebrating the tradition. These sets are always full of interesting elements, beautiful colors, and exclusive minifigures. So, let’s take a look at and discuss these beautiful sets coming soon!

#10411 LEGO LEARN ABOUT CHINESE CULTURE – This is a LEGO DUPLO set for toddlers aged 2 and over featuring a cafe, a temple, an activity area, and a cherry blossom tree. Also, notice all the beautifully printed accessories! This set comes with 124 pieces and prices are as follows: £69.99, $69.99, €79.99

#80110 LEGO LUNAR NEW YEAR DISPLAY – This is an interesting set with two decorative, buildable models that can be displayed together or individually around a home or workplace. One has buildable golden ingots in the traditional Yuan Bao design, koi fish for good luck, red pockets symbolizing good wishes and fortune and the “Zhao Cai Jin Bao” greeting that welcomes fortune and treasures into the home. The second model has one large and two small buildable moutan peony flowers, plus the “Hua Kai Fu Gui” greeting, meaning blooming prosperity and happiness. I really like the small printed butterflies and of course, the cloud elements and other uniquely shaped pieces. This set comes with 872 pieces and prices are as follows: £69.99, $89.99, €79.99

#80111 LEGO LUNAR NEW YEAR PARADE – This is the largest Chinese New Year set this year featuring three connectible parade floats. You can push the floats to animate the buildable rabbit and dragon, and the drummer will play his drum. Although previous LEGO Chinese New Year sets had all printed elements, it appears that this set has quite a few stickers. The set includes separate instructions for each float, so family members and friends can build together. Eighteen minifigs are included, including a performer in a rabbit outfit, two masked performers, and five musicians with instruments. This set comes with 1,653 pieces and prices are as follows: £89.99, $129.99, €99.99

#40648 LEGO CHINESE NEW YEAR MONEY TREE – In Chinese culture, it has long been believed that a money tree brings abundance, prosperity, and good luck. This set features a tree decorated with 20 tangerines (yes, those pumpkins are meant to be tangerines), 14 red envelopes, and 10 coins. The model makes an eye-catching display item and adds extra fun to Chinese New Year celebrations. This set comes with 336 pieces and prices are as follows: £21.99, $24.99, €24.99
