There are a couple of ways you can earn extra LEGO VIP Points right now. As you know, LEGO VIP Points can be converted into vouchers and redeemed as discounts on future purchases at LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop. And of course, any extra points help!

At the LEGO VIP Rewards Center, you can currently earn 5 LEGO VIP Points by answering a very short survey, which just asks for your birth month.

The second way to earn extra VIP Points is also via a survey. You can earn 50 LEGO VIP Points by answering a few questions that will help the LEGO Group better understand their consumers and help improve the LEGO VIP Program.

Also, remember that currently, you can also earn points on your LEGO purchases at Target stores! You just need to upload your receipt at the LEGO VIP Rewards Center.

As far as redeeming LEGO VIP Points, you can also do that at the LEGO VIP Rewards Center. 650 points will get you a $5 discount, 2,600 points a $20 discount, 6,500 points a $50 discount, and 13,000 points a $100 discount. You can check your current point balance, earn extra points in the above-mentioned ways, and redeem points at the LEGO VIP Rewards Center website.

Also, LEGO is currently offering Double VIP Point on two sets; the excellent #41714 LEGO Friends Andrea’s Theater School, and the #21190 LEGO Minecraft Abandoned Village.

What do you think? Are you a LEGO VIP member? Do you actively collect and redeem points? What improvements and changes (if any) would you like to see to the program? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

Canadian LEGO fan Charles Pritchett is well known for his awesome LEGO books with step-by-step instructions for building expansions to the LEGO Winter Village collection as well as instructions for building custom LEGO BrickHeadz superheroes, villains, and more.

In his most recent endeavor, Charles teamed up with Peter G. Keith, a popular LEGO Castle builder, and together they began publishing a series of books titled Building a LEGO Medieval Village. So far, two volumes have been published in the series.

BUILDING A LEGO MEDIEVAL VILLAGE: VOLUME ONE features five projects with full-color illustrations, step-by-step instructions, and detailed parts lists; a Heroic Monument, a Stone Well, a Market Vintner, a Butcher Stand, and a Horse Barn. The first three projects are smaller with only around 95-150 pieces, and the last two projects are larger builds at around 350 pieces each.

BUILDING A LEGO MEDIEVAL VILLAGE: VOLUME TWO features an additional five projects with full-color illustrations, step-by-step instructions, and detailed parts lists; a Chicken Coop, a Hay Wagon, a Watch Tower, a Chapel, and a Village House. Two of the projects are smaller, while the three buildings are quite substantial.

I like that these projects are not too big but offer enough detail and variety to satisfy teen and adult LEGO builders. Each of the projects can also serve as a template for additional variations for an even larger layout.

Both books are available in printed format and as downloadable instructions. The paperback version is $20 at the time of this review, and the kindle/pdf version is $10. They are available on Amazon at the following links:

I should also mention that the Expanding the LEGO Winter Village series also got extra volumes added since our last review. Below, I will link to each of the books currently available in the series:

The LEGO Winter Village collection is very popular, especially around the holidays, and LEGO recently revived the LEGO Castle series, so these publications are highly relevant to the LEGO fan community. The books are high quality, and they will make excellent and unique gifts for the fall and winter holidays and for other occasions.

What do you think? Do you have any of the above-mentioned books already? Feel free to share your thoughts and own reviews in the comment section below!
