LEGO fans in North America still have to wait another month until the summer sets get released, but there are still plenty of other new LEGO sets and promotions to enjoy during the month of July. Let’s take a look.
FREE LEGO ADIDAS ORIGINALS SUPERSTAR MINI-VERSION: July 1-14, you can get a free #40486 LEGO Adidas Originals Superstar set with purchases of $85 or more. It’s a perfect addition to the #10282 LEGO Adidas Originals Superstar sneaker that is also released this month. This offer is valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO ADIDAS ORIGINALS SUPERSTAR AVAILABLE: The #10282 LEGO Adidas Originals Superstar sneaker is now available. We discussed this set in detail (see links at the end of this post), but to recap, it’s a fantastic replica of the original sneaker, and it can be built in either left or right version. The set comes in an authentic Adidas-style shoebox. The price is $79.99, and the set is now available at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
FREE LEGO CHARLES DICKENS TRIBUTE SET: July 12-18, you can get a free #40410 LEGO Charles Dickens Tribute set with purchases of $150 or more. If the set looks familiar, you’re correct. It was also a freebie last year during the holiday shopping season. It’s a quite substantial set with really nice details and even a hidden drawer inside the book. This offer is valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
FREE LEGO FRIENDS OR LEGO CITY SET: July 16-25, you can choose between two free sets with purchases of $40 or more; the #30414 LEGO Friends Emma’s Magical Box, or the #40568 LEGO City Skater. This offer is valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO IDEAS TYPEWRITER AVAILABLE: The #21327 LEGO Ideas Typewriter is now available to everyone, not just LEGO VIP members. The design of this beautiful set is inspired by the classic typewriter used by the LEGO Group’s founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen, and it moves and sounds just like the real thing. The brick-built center typebar rises each time a letter key is pressed and is linked to the carriage that moves across as you type. There is also a platen roller that you can feed real paper into. The set comes with 2,079 pieces and the price is $199.99. It’s available at the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.
NEW LEGO MONKIE KID SETS AVAILABLE: Three new LEGO Monkie Kid sets are now available, and they all appear to be super fun and interesting. The three set are the #80025 LEGO Monkie Kid Sandy’s Power Loader Mech, the #80026 LEGO Monkie Kid Pigsy’s Noodle Tank, and the #80028 LEGO Monkie Kid The Bone Demon. They are all now available at the LEGO Monkie Kid section of the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO DISNEY FROZEN ICE CASTLE AVAILABLE: The #43197 LEGO Disney Frozen Ice Castle is now available. Fans of the movies will instantly recognize the castle with the curved, double-sided staircase that leads up to the throne room, the glistening ice fountain, the balcony, and much more. The castle measures over 25.5 in. (65 cm) high, 13.5 in. (35 cm) wide, and 7.5 in. (19 cm) deep, and looks beautiful with all those glistening translucent pieces. The set also features Anna, two versions of Elsa in her coronation look as well as her iconic outfit, Kristoff, and Olaf, plus four Snowgie figures. Please note that this set is a more complex build than previous version of the castle, and is recommended for ages 14 and up. It comes with 1,709 pieces, and the price is $199.99. It’s available at the LEGO Disney section of the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO SPIDER-MAN DAILY BUGLE AVAILABLE: The #76178 LEGO Spider-Man Daily Bugle was released last month, but it has been out of stock for quite a while. So I thought to mention that it is now back in stock and available. This is a massive four-story building, measuring over 32 in. (82 cm) high, 10.5 in. (27 cm) wide, and 10.5 in. (27 cm) deep, crammed to the rooftop with classic characters, realistic features, and fun accessories. It’s available at the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.
BRICKLINK DESIGNER PROGRAM CROWDFUNDING: As we discussed a few days ago (see links at the end of this post), the first round of crowdfunding for the BrickLink Designer Program officially opened today. The first five projects to reach the goal of 3,000 pre-orders will be produced as a limited edition set. Up to 5,000 of each will be produced based on pre-orders received from registered BrickLink members. If you are interested in any of the projects in the first round, I suggest you participate in the crowdfunding stage as soon as possible. Several of these projects are very popular and they could potentially sell out fast. Here is the link to the BrickLink Designer Program page.
Besides the new sets discussed here, remember that there are many other amazing sets that were released in the past several months, so it’s worth browsing the full selection at the Online LEGO Shop.
