As usual this time of the year, toy manufacturers are introducing their new products lines through the various toy fairs. The London Toy Fair took place last, the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany is taking place right now, and the Now York Toy Fair is coming up at the end of February. Photography is not permitted at the first two toy fairs, but LEGO did release some preliminary information that’s available to the public. Below, you can find what we know so far. ➡ 2020 LEGO ARCHITECTURE SETS: The #21054 LEGO Architecture White House set is coming. This is a large set with a price of 99.99€.
➡ 2020 LEGO CITY SETS: LEGO City is going to focus on marine research this summer, with sets ranging from small and inexpensive, all the way to the large #60266 LEGO City Marine Research Vessel for 129.99€. You can find all the set names and numbers listed in the Brickset database (no pictures yet).
➡ 2020 LEGO COLLECTIBLE MINIFIGURES: There will be two new LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series, one released in May, and one in September.
➡ 2020 LEGO CREATOR SETS: The three sets we know about so far are the #31107 LEGO Creator Space Rover for 49.99€, the #31108 LEGO Creator Camper Van for 79.99€, and the #31109 LEGO Creator Pirate Ship for 99.99€.
➡ 2020 LEGO FRIENDS SETS: The focus on LEGO Friends this summer is animal rescue, with sets like the #41421 LEGO Friends Baby Elephant Rescue for 19.99€, the #41422 LEGO Friends Panda Rescue Station for 29.99€, the #41423 LEGO Friends Hot Air Balloon Rescue -for39.99€, and the #41424 LEGO Friends Jungle Animal Rescue Station for 79.99€. Another interesting set is the #41430 Heartlake City Water Park for 99.99€. All the set names and numbers are listed in the Brickset database.
➡ 2020 LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES SETS: The most unusual set is the #76165 LEGO Iron Man Bust for 59.99€. Other sets will be revealed later.
➡ 2020 LEGO NINJAGO SETS: There is a large wave of LEGO Ninjago sets coming, and according to the information at Brickset, they will combine into a board game. Sets include the #71717 LEGO Ninjago Dungeon for 24.99€, the #71718 LEGO Ninjago Dragon with Wu for 19.99€, the #71719 LEGO Ninjago Rhinoceros Monster – 49.99€, the #71720 LEGO Ninjago Earth and Fire Mech – 69.99€, the #71721 LEGO Ninjago White Dragon – 79.99€, and the #71722 LEGO Ninjago Castle – 99.99€. And there are also more LEGO Ninjago Legacy sets, which are basically updated re-releases of previous favorites, #71703 LEGO Ninjago Lightning Jet Battle (update of the #9442 LEGO Ninjago Jay’s Storm Fighter, #71704 Kai Fighter (update of the #70721 LEGO Ninjago Kai Fighter, and #71705 Destiny’s Bounty (update of the #9446 LEGO Ninjago Destiny’s Bounty). ➡ 2020 LEGO TECHNIC SETS: The LEGO Technic line for later this year sounds really interesting. The #41207 LEGO Technic Ducati Motorcycle for 59.99€ is similar to previous LEGO Technic motorcycles with a new disk break. The #42111 LEGO Technic Fast & Furious set is the result of a new licensing agreement between Universal Brand Development and The LEGO Group based on the Ninth Chapter in the Fast & Furious saga that will hit theaters around the world beginning in May 2020. Other sets coming are the #42112 LEGO Technic Cement Mixer Truck for 99.99€, the #42113 LEGO Technic Bell Osprey Tiltrotor Helicopter for 129.99€ with LEGO Control+ functions, and the #42114 LEGO Technic Volvo Articulated Tipper for 249.99€ (also with LEGO Control+ functions). The largest of the sets is the #42115 LEGO Technic Lamborghini for 379.99€, which is based on a new partnership between Italian super sports cars car manufacturer, Automobili Lamborghini and LEGO Technic. It will be the third model in the LEGO Technic Ultimate series, after the #42056 LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS released in 2016, and the #42083 LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron released in 2018.
The German Toy Fair will continue until the end of the week, so it’s possible that we will get more information. German LEGO fans Andres and Matthias from Zusammengebaut are at the event, so you can follow them for further information.
