Hong Ha, OXFORD is South Korean company, and since you are there right now, your best bet is to look at local toy shops, or department stores with a toy section. OXFORD has a full range of building toy sets, so prices will depend on which sets you are interested in. You can also call OXFORD’s customer service, and they should be able to help you finding a retailer near you. Hello, I just saw a picture of the chariot! Its amazing. I’m not into lego but my 4 year old is. Did you just have a whole bunch of legos to work with or order special ones for this project? Gosh, if it just came in a set with picture instructions would be great but thats probably asking to much. Thanks
Ansuya, thanks! The Chariot took about a month of planning and another month of building, if I remember correctly. I designed it starting from the largest LEGO cart wheels. That kind of solidified the size, then went from there, studing pictures of real Chariot designs I found on the Internet.
First I built it with the LEGO pieces I had (I do have a fairly large collection) just to get the design and concept down. Then I finalized the design in LDD (LEGO Digital Designer – it is a free, but very powerful software to design LEGO models). LDD also helped me to count exactly how many of each part I will need.
Then I bought the parts I didn’t have from various BrickLink vendors. (BrickLink is an online marketplace, kind of like eBay, but for LEGO only.) There are some elements that were quite expensive due to their rarity and the fact they are discontinued, but all in all at this time it was just a matter of getting the right pieces and putting the Chariot together.
I would mention though that putting together a custom set like this is not cheap. Since I build it and posted the pictures a lot of people inquired about getting one made for them, but usually they go quiet when they hear how much it costs. The parts for the Chariot itself were about $150, and the minifigs, base and other extras another $100. Adding in shipping from the various LEGO parts vendors is on top of that (about $30). So yeah, LEGO is not a cheap hobby when you start getting into custom building. But still cheaper than golf. 😉

Hey does anyone know when theyre gonna finish off season 3 of lego Ninjago on Cartoon Network??

Anything on that? I heard that Ninjago was going to be ending November 27 2012 or at least thats when the season finale is for season 3. I hope Ninjago continues on I really enjoy this show very much! Thanks guys!

Tina, as far as we know this is the last season of Ninjago. There will be another wave of sets you can read about in the Ninjago section, but as far as the Ninjago saga, it is the end. Ninjago is being replaced by Legends of Chima in January with a new TV show and new sets, however Ninjago sets should be available at retail stores until the end of 2013. Hope this helps some! 😉

My son noticed that the The Hobbit Escape from Mirkwood Spiders set, #79001 was not a scene from the first Hobbit movie, although the box says “An Unexpected Gathering”…..and that Legolas was included in the set, although he is not in the first movie either. So, does that mean this is a set we should invest in??? What’s your opinion?
Mmstrozier, the movie supposed to be in two parts only. It was only at the end when Jackson decided to split it into three parts. By that time it was too late to change the release of the LEGO sets. So yeah, originally the Mirkwood Spiders and Barrel Escape scene supposed to be in the first movie, but now it is going to be in the later episode. So the sets themselves will make more sense at that time.
As far as investing, for the long term I would say any LOTR sets will be a good investment as there are always LOTR fans who will desire them. For the shorter term it is unlikely. I’m sure LEGO will keep the sets around during the whole movie release (the next episode should be in theaters December 2013). For a quick turnaround parting out the sets and selling the minifigs can bring a small return. 😉
Does anybody know if there is going to be more The Hobbit sets? I know there is going to be more LOTR, however, as in the back of The Hobbit instruction booklets there is a picture that says there will be more of LOTR. There probably will be more with the release of the other 2 parts, but I would just like to confirm. Also, I saw an Elrond fig on bricklink, anybody know what set that is from?
Jedi, yes, there are more Hobbit sets coming. They will likely be released later in 2013 as the next movie is coming out at the end of the year. Maybe a summer wave, or most likely fall. The Elrond minifigure was a promotional minifig that came with the Lord of the Rings Video Game. A beautiful and unique minifigure that is really hard to get now. I think the minimum price is $25. 😕

"Open your eyes. I know you're awake," said an unfamiliar voice. I don't know why I listen, but I do. I'm in a clean white room that smells like fresh lemons, on a table, staring into the eyes of a stranger. "Good morning, GiGi. Or, well, its nighttime, but, well…"
"Who-who are you? How do-do-do you know m-m-m-m-my name?" I stutter. It feels weird.
The stranger reaches for my neck. I'm already in the corner by a window instantly.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. My name is Dr. Julian Sumato. I can help you," he said. I just shake my head.
"Wha-wha-what am I-I-I-I?"
Dr. Sumato sighs, a deep sound coming from such a sad place within him, it was hard to believe my own ears, which were hearing everything within a 10-mile radius.
"I'm going to be honest, there was a fire where you used to live. It burned you clean in two. I had to help you…" his voice trailed off, but instead he tried coming to me, still crouched and read to pounce in the corner. But that changes soon. I'm already on the windowsill.
Dr. Sumato showed me a mirror. At least that's what I know it's supposed to be. I find a red-faced girl with unnaturally bright blue eyes that can onlybe taken for as ninjroid eyes. How can this be? I'm no ninjroid… Am I? I bolt from the window, heading I-don't-know-where…
10 YEARS LATER…
I'm perched in a tree, impatiently waiting for the line to dwindle down to 60. The rules are simple. The Stone Warriors tell you a move, and you do it. If you did proficient, they let you head to the docks, where the rest of the thousands of Ninjroids anticipate the sail to the Mainland.
When it's finally my turn, I do the most complicated move in martial arts history, it doesn't even have a name. I move to the boats. I'm free! I've been a prisoner on these islands for 10 years, with a strange spell keeping any Ninjroid from leaving unless a) given permission and/or b) have done so well in training you don't have to stay. Prisoners -me if you didn't know- have to have permission. Only since I'm the first and only prisoner, I had some freedoms. I wasn't stuck in a cell. I could roam the Dark Island and would never get it with the shattered Overlord.
But see, I'm a Ninjroid, according to most people around here. I just have to show "my pretty blues" and I can do anything the Others can.
August 6, 2013~
We dock on shore of the Mainland and are divided into groups of four. I'm stuck with two males and a female I think is blind. The males keep elbowing each other and laughing. From what I see, they think he's hot. I think she looks like a mad woman.
"Go on ahead without us. You're faster than anyone, and older." i look up from my own thoughts and see one of the males talking to me. The usual blue eyes, but with shaggy black hair tied in a ponytail at the back of his head.
"Go. Go on," he said.
I nod and bolt.

Previously in the story(But this isn’t yet episode 2):
GiGi is trapped on the Dark Island for ten years, but uses her training to escape and head back home. But is it a home? A long time ago a fire engolfed the Yujo Household, consuming her father, and some of herself. Now to continue Episode 1: New And Improved:
Hours later I’m back on the beach. I gave myself a slight tour of all Ninjago as slow as I can manage, which isn’t that slow. 😐
So I’m shuffling across the beach when I see them. I don’t even know who the heck “them” is, but somehow I vaguely recognize them. 😕
There’s three of them: a tall one with red hair, short brunette one, and another brunette. Don’t ask me, but I think they’re related. 😉
All of a sudden the brunettes turn in unison. Freaky! The short one in purple runs up to me and- get this- HUGS ME!!! How humiliating! The other brunette in yellow is all like,” So YOU’RE GiGi,” and since I’m being squeezed so hard blood not rushing to my head, I can only croak something that does NOT sound like “let go of me.” It’s more of a beeping and blaring noise. Yes, that is how I talk. My voice-box hasn’t worked right forever, and I sorta regret refusing help from the doctor who built me.
The purple one jumps back. “Sorry,” she says,” It’s just that it’s been so long, and I’ve missed you, sis.” And I’m like giving her the ❓ face so she continues. “Don’t you remember me?” I shake my head.
The red-head in orange walks over with that ❗ face, so I try to say “What is going on?” but it instead comes out,” Beeeeep bop dow-dow-dow zuba-zuba-zuba!” I just shut my mouth after that.
Now the red-heads face goes from ❗ to :shock:. I shrug my shoulders as if to say,”what?” She points right at my eyes, and I’m like, 💡 and use my powers to grow some bangs to hide my eyes.
“What are you?” she asks, and the purple one elbows her, but she instead winces.
“Be nice. You haven’t seen in for like, ever, and you KNOW she’s a cyborg. Don’t EVEN pretend to go there, KiK-” at that last part, the yellow brunette stops and shields herself from the orange one’s wrath. Note-to-self: Stick with K and not the other name.
The purple one stops them both. “You’ve met K. I’m DiDi, and this is Samantha-”
“I prefer Sammie, though,” the yellow one said. “WOOOOWWW. You’re all dressed like a ninja! Are you training, too? So are we. Oooooooooh, have you met Lloyd Garmadon? I think he’s SSSSSOOOOOO cute! And he’s so heroic and-” KiKi covers Sammie’s mouth.
“Yeah, we all get it. You’re obsessed with Lloyd. But guess what? YOU’RE TOO MUCH OF A SMALL TOWN GIRL AND HE’D NEVER BE INTERESTED IN YOU!!!!”
And that leaves Sammie all 🙁
“H-how do you know that?” she asked through tears.
“Because,” K said in a clipped tone of voice.
“GiGi, why don’t you come back home with us? We can catch up and all that good stuff,” DiDi suggested. I’m about to nod when I feel the presence of of a spy. Back on the DI, you’re trained to sense a spy, ninja, or anyone else on the other team. DiDi feels something too, and we both look up to see a falcon.
“Guys, I’m only getting numbers,” she said while never taking her gaze off the bird. In unison we all pull up our ninja hoods and bring out weapons. K has twins steel swords; DiDi, a staff; Sammie her, thingamajigs: me, my fans.
“Fans?” K asks, and dismisses it just as the five ninja approach. Black, red, blue, white, and gold/green. Sammie squeals.
“Omigosh! Lloyd Garmadon!”
The gold/green one turns to Sammie. “Uh, yes?”
Sammie runs to hug him. “Omigosh! You’re here! Like HERE!!!”
“Uhh, yeah. Why shouldn’t I be?”
The black one is staring at DiDi intensely. “What?” she asks. “Wait- COLE????”
“DiDi?”
“COLE!!!!”
“DIDI!!! Man, I’m so glad to see you!!!”
All of a sudden, it’s like no one is interested in fighting anymore. No ne except me… Kinda. K is friendly-punching the red one, DiDi “catching up” with that Cole guy, Sammie is all up on Lloyd, hugging him and stuff… The blue and white ones are just staring a each other, like they’re sharing a silent conversation in their minds.
I slowly back off, planning on heading to the icy woods, when the blue one shouts,”Hey, where do you think YOU’RE goin’?” Frightened, I use my energy bubble to grab the girls and RUN…

Lilien, the mini shop series is created by a LEGO fan. It is not an official LEGO product. They may make a product like that in the future, but at this point your best bet is to just look at the pictures and try to re-create them. 😉

Kevin, if you have a LEGO store near you I would suggest you contact them. They do sell LEGO elements by the box but you have to ask for it.
If you don’t have a LEGO store near you, you can call LEGO’s customer service and they should be able to hook you up with someone who can help. LEGO can provide bricks for very large projects like yours, especially if it is created for a public event.
If you run into any trouble let me know and I can hook you up with my contact at LEGO who should be able to guide you further.

Hi admin, long tine no see. I just wanted to ask for any tips on how to clean the dirt out of lego cloth such as the dresses from the minifigure series like the hula dancer and figure skater’s.

Gosh, I haven’t seen you for ages! Nice to have you stop by! If we are just talking about regular dirt, I would take a soft cloth, make it damp, and genty whipe it away. If it is more like a stain, I would just get a new one on BrickLink. LEGO cloth is heavily starched, so although technically you could just wash it, it will loose its crispness and may even start to unravel.
I have a friend that loves lego. Is there anywhere I can buy the display name holder that you see in the stores explaining who built the display. E.g batman and Robin built by the master builder Dave. Thanks cass
Cassie, you will likely have to ask your LEGO store about those. As far as I know that is not a product they offer for sale, however if you ask nicely they may give you one. 😉

This is my first time checking out this site. It is great to see all of the adults that have enjoyed Lego’s for years, and are still going strong with or without their kids.
I was going to ask how long this site has been going, and if it was still in use. Just asking, because I have come across a couple sites that are no longer in use. 🙂
I read about the Laser Pegs, and checked out the photos. Is it me or did a couple of the sets look like remakes of Lite Bride?
Just saying.
Anyways, I am a Dad of 3 boys, and enjoy putting Lego’s sets together, and also creating my own stuff.

Maxine, I would suggest that you contact your local LEGO branch’s customer service about this. We are just a LEGO fan community. You should also be able to get the promos on the secondary market like eBay or BrickLink.
I was trying to subscribe so I could watch the posted Ninjago episodes 35, 36 & 37. I subscribed to everything I saw but when I went to watch it said private.
What do I need to do so I can view these videos?

Alphie, LEGO uploaded the Ninjago videos from last season to their channel (which is what I shared here), but then later they deleted them. There is really nothing we can do about that. Other people also upload the episodes, but they get removed pretty quickly by YouTube due to copyright reasons. When you do find an episode it is best to watch it right away because they won’t be around for long.
The comment subscription is via Feedburner and it doesn’t work with Chrome. Even though both of them are Google products. Go figure. It does work with other browsers though. So if you want to subscribe to comments on a particular discussion, you can temporarily switch to another browsers. Both IE and Firefox works.
I am starting a Lego club at the library and was wondering if there was any way that I would be able to get about 30 or so Lego magazines for the kids that attend?
Theresa, are you talking about the LEGO Club Magazines? You can usually get back issues, even whole lots, on eBay for a reasonable price. You might also consider subscribing to the magazine so you have the latest issues available. The LEGO Club Magazine subscription is free in the USA. Also, since you are doing this program for children, it may be worth to call LEGO’s customer service and see if they would be willing to donate some magazines. I think it is very likely that they will. 🙂
i have an old black lego briefcase that is one piece life size made in 1997 and I was wondering what it is because there is no block id on it.

My girlfriend bought me a star wars lego set from Walmart. When i opened up the box i noticed that all the bags have been opened and resealed. All the parts were wrong; they seem to be from a completely different set. I have a feeling someone bought the lego set and swapped out the parts and returned it. It’s quite a bummer.
Kong, I suggest that you return the set to Wal-Mart immediately, along with your receipt. This is a known problem in their stores and they should give you an exchange or full refund.

hey Admin What are the requirements for becoming a lego model designer and how old do I have to be because at school I’m doing a project on what I want my job to be when I grow up.
Iaian, you have to be at least 18 to become a LEGO designer. The only requirement is that you have to be really awesome and creative with LEGO. I do know at least on kid who was hired by LEGO right after finishing high-school because he was so good. Certain other qualifications can help too. Like if you have a degree in design, engineering, toy design, etc.
Please keep in mind that if you want to become a LEGO designer, you will have to move to Billund, Denmark. There are other positions though that you may be interested in and you don’t have to leave your country. For example you can become a model builder for the LEGOLAND Parks, like the ones in Florida and California.

hey Administrator whenever I got those lego club comics I always right away started building a cool lego creation I could almost make anything with legos because I love love love love love legos because I think they are the best toy ever.
