(Written by benny)

Today I would like to show you one of my favorite LEGO Star Wars sets that just got released recently, the #75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE. This most recent wave of LEGO Star Wars sets is solely based on Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, where Obi-Wan Kenobi finds out that on the planet Kamino a whole clone army is being made on the order of Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. The #75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE is from the First Battle of Geonosis, as seen in the film. So let’s check it out! ๐Ÿ™‚

#75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Review

First of all here is the official description of the #75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE from LEGO’s website: Win the Battle of Geonosis with the AT-TE! As the Battle of Geonosis rages on, the clone commander boards the heavily armored LEGO Star Wars AT-TE with Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Coleman Trebor. Take them deep into the battle with the AT-TEโ€™s lifting handle and cool poseable legs. Open the cockpit to put a minifigure behind the wheel, then fire the 2 moving laser-cannons and rotating top-mounted projectile-cannon with dual flick-missiles! Lift the top hatch for extra flick-missiles! Climb the access-ladder through the opening rear hatch to reach the cargo box with thermal detonators. Lead every LEGO Star Wars battle with this ultra-tough space tank. Includes 5 minifigures with weapons: Battle Droid, Battle Droid Commander, Mace Windu, Coleman Trebor, and a Clone Commander. 794 pieces. Price: $89.99

#75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Details

Now let’s look at the minifigures in a bit more detail. There are the two Jedi: Mace Windu with a purple lightsaber and Jedi robes, and Coleman Trebor with a green lightsaber and a dinosaur-like head-piece (even though he died before the clones came). The third minifig is the Clone Commander, who fits perfectly into the cockpit and has a pretty neat weapon. He has the Episode II clone face, which is new for 2013. The last two minifigures are the battle droids, coming straight from the Geonosis droid factory. They have a very nice dark-orange color, and the Droid Commander has some yellow markings to show its rank.

#75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE Minifigures

As far as the LEGO Star Wars AT-TE walker itself, it is a very well designed model with lots of details and functions. The front cockpit where the Clone Commander can sit slides out very smoothly, and when out, you can see the little stick pieces that make up the controls. The gun on top of the AT-TE can fit another minifig (I use a clone from a previously released LEGO Star Wars battle-pack). If you lift up that compartment, there are four extra flick-missiles; 2 blue and 2 green, which are very useful in a heated battle. At the back compartment there are two gun holders and a box that holds two thermal detonators. The compartment can also hold two minifigs.

The legs of the AT-TE are done really well; the front and back ones have to be in a certain position, but the middle ones just kind of dangle, so you don’t have to worry about positioning those. It is the legs that the model is named after; All Terrain Tactical Enforcer, because the feet move you can have it climb up and over objects in its path. One of the best bit of the AT-TE is the handle; you can fit two fingers on it – one either side – and imagine that a LAAT (Low Altitude Assault Transport) is carrying it. ๐Ÿ™„

You can get the #75019 LEGO Star Wars AT-TE, along with other recently released LEGO Star Wars sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

TYPO I put I insteand of u, my ipod always makes typos

admin September 6, 2013 at 12:28 PM

Benny, you mean you had a joke in there? I don’t remember that. I sometimes re-word stuff when I feel something is not clear enough (always remember that we have a lot of international readers for whom English is not their first language), and sometimes I do take out a sentence of something that I don’t understand myself. Anyway, what was the joke? I just don’t remember. ๐Ÿ™„

Sure, you can review whatever you want. It is a good idea to check with the others to make sure they are not planning to review the same sets, but other than that, just go for it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

benny September 6, 2013 at 12:47 PM

yea I put the droids, straight from the droid factorys on geonosis or in this case lego factorys, well I found it funny but..

admin September 6, 2013 at 12:49 PM

Benny, that’s still in there. Third paragraph, where you talk about the minifigs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

benny September 6, 2013 at 1:21 PM

admin September 6, 2013 at 5:38 PM

Oh, I see what you mean! Sorry about that! I do remember working on that part and somehow missed it. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Nice review again benny ๐Ÿ˜€ I would get this set if it wasn’t for the fact that I get ยฃ20-ยฃ60 sets myself and ask for the higher priced sets for birthdays and Christmas. ๐Ÿ™‚
Off topic but my mum got a package today whilst I was at school and the box was by the dining table (unpacked obviously) and had the LEGO bubble rap thing in it from where she had opened the box and put it in. Birthday present? It was quite big and about the same size as the box jek-14s starfighter came in fingers crossed its something epic! ๐Ÿ˜€

benny September 6, 2013 at 11:06 AM

thanks, I hope it is jek-14 starfighter I want that set for the figs. im gonna ask for every single geonosis set for Christmas and money for 2014 sets ๐Ÿ˜›

Chi-bacca September 6, 2013 at 12:04 PM

I already have jeks starfighter i meant box size. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Which suggests a ยฃ70+ set perhaps or a couple of smaller ones

Dracy Melks September 29, 2013 at 12:30 AM

same here im so excited for the entire geonosian wave of sets thatsball i want for christman

admin September 6, 2013 at 12:29 PM

Now, don’t go peaking! That would be very bad! (Not that I don’t do it.) ๐Ÿ™„

Fikko3107 September 6, 2013 at 12:58 PM

Oh yeah, while we’re talking about Jek-14, here’s a piece of wizened advice: If you do not want the Yoda Chronicles ruined for you, DO NOT buy the Yoda Chronicles book, or at least not yet, or don’t read the part about Jek-14. It tells of the final fate of Jek-14! Seriously! I totally regretted reading that part! The Special Forces Clone Trooper is cool though…

Chi-bacca September 6, 2013 at 1:22 PM

Let me guess he becomes good. Don’t actually tell me though ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fikko3107 September 6, 2013 at 2:51 PM

I find the ending fairly satisfactory. Here’s a little about him. He’s someone who’s been created literally to be used for evil, but he sort of has a moral good in him. So, he has a raging internal conflict inside of him that will span the series, as he face the dilemma of whether he should continue to serve Dooku and Palpatine or if he should defect and join Yoda…

admin September 6, 2013 at 5:38 PM

Don’t tempt him. It is really best not to know. I read the book too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

admin September 6, 2013 at 5:36 PM

I agree, Jek-14 should remain a mysterious character to fully enjoy the series.

Chi-bacca September 6, 2013 at 1:21 PM

Well turns out it was a food order…… That’s embarrassing ๐Ÿ˜ณ
Seriously i saw my mum had got the Spanish food she ordered and it came today….. In that box. I feel dumb

admin September 6, 2013 at 5:37 PM

Food is overrated. It should have been LEGO. ๐Ÿ™„

Beardless Dwarf September 6, 2013 at 11:20 AM

Nice review! It looks like a really nice set! I really like the Mace Windu fig in this. And the Orange Battle Droids are a nice addition ๐Ÿ™‚

“One of the best bit of the AT-TE is the handle; you can fit two fingers on it โ€“ one either side โ€“ and imagine that a LAAT (Low Altitude Assault Transport) is carrying it. ”

Actually, the Old version of the AT-TE could attatch to the LAAT, so this one might be able to too. ๐Ÿ™‚

Chi-bacca September 6, 2013 at 5:18 PM

Yeah I wondered that too ๐Ÿ™‚

benny September 7, 2013 at 4:45 AM
