2013 LEGO Star Wars Planets series 3 & 4

We talked about the 2013 LEGO Star Wars sets already, but only briefly mentioned the LEGO Star Wars Planets series coming out this year. However since now we have pictures I thought it is a good time to revisit these mini LEGO Star Wars sets. 🙂

LEGO Star Wars Planets Series 1 & 2

The LEGO Star Wars Planets series started last year with three planets in Series 1 and three planets in Series 2. This year we will be getting Series 3 and Series 4 with three more planets in each. Bringing the LEGO Star Wars Buildable Galaxy Collection (another name for these sets) to 12 planets all – well, kind of… because as you will see Planet Endor shows up twice and some are not really planets (like the Asteroid field)… 🙄

LEGO Star Wars Planets Series One Details

Each of the LEGO Star Wars Planets contain a mini model of a Star Wars vehicle, a minifigure, and a printed globe that represent a planet. The globe can be hung up with a hook at the top to create your own Universe, or it can also be opened up to store both the minifigure and the vehicle.

LEGO Star Wars Planets Series Two Details

I know some LEGO Star Wars fans who love these little sets and collect them. I have also seen some pretty creative designs using those globe pieces – which were originally considered quite useless. Other Star Wars fans are still not sure if they should get into collecting these miniature sets. One thing is for sure though; if you want to get into LEGO Star Wars without breaking the bank, the LEGO Star Wars Planets series is your best option. You get some nice minifigures, and some swooshable mini-models for the fraction of the price of the bigger LEGO Star Wars sets.

Below are the 2013 LEGO Star Wars Planets sets in Series 3 and Series 4, so you can decide if you would like to get into collecting them.

  • Frank January 17, 2013, 11:23 AM

    Neat!
Series two’s planets were pretty lame, but i’m liking series three’s!

  • Strider January 17, 2013, 11:29 AM

Wow, I can’t believe they are selling an original rebel scout trooper! I am definetly going to get that one.

  • YTjedi January 17, 2013, 11:39 AM

Slight correction in that there are only 12 planets sets, not 16. Also the planet Endor doesn’t technically appear twice. The one in Series 4 is the planet Endor while the previous one released was the forest moon of Endor (though it is commonly referred to as Endor anyway).

Gosh, I knew I was bad at math, but that’s really bad – I blame it on writing the post after barely eating and sleeping for 2 days. 😳

Good catch about Endor! Now that you mention it, yeah, you are right! 😉

In the latest Lego catalogue, series 1 isn’t in it anymore, I think it’s already discontineut. Furtermore it mentioned that series 3 wil come out in march. BTW I really like these small models and will definetly get some of them.

It’s all right. Sometimes that happens. I have never seen a comment completely disappear. It may just take a minute for it to load, especially when there is a lot of traffic. 😉

It’s amazing to pay a visit this web site and reading the views of all mates on the topic of this piece of writing, while I am also zealous of getting know-how.

Right here is the right webpage for anybody who would like to
find out about this topic. You know a whole lot its almost
tough to argue with you (not that I actually will need to…HaHa).
You certainly put a brand new spin on a subject that’s been written about for many years. Great stuff, just great!

  • konta firmowe June 21, 2013, 7:25 PM

This design is steller! You obviously know how to keep a reader entertained.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost.
..HaHa!) Great job. I really loved what you had to say,
and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

My programmer is trying to persuade me to move to
.net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of
the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on a number of
websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform.
I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way
I can transfer all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be greatly
    appreciated!

” because as you will see Planet Endor shows up twice” I would like to correct you here, the AT-ST comes with the “Forest moon of Endor” and the B wing comes from “Planet Endor” so no it does not show up twice. You are welcome.
