WOW! I wrote a post about the LOTR sets that was punlished just this morning! And it starts “like the title says,” too! That is creepy! 😯 anyways, I want to get these very soon!!!

    • Meneldur son of Garamar June 3, 2013, 11:49 AM

I was on Lego yesterday and found out they were available! And the Army of the Dead do actually glow in the dark. And here I thought they didn’t. I knew you’d be commenting, Noah! 😉

      • admin June 3, 2013, 12:17 PM

Hm… they do? I read a review that they don’t glow. I would be VERY HAPPY if they actually do glow in the dark! 😀

        • Meneldur son of Garamar June 3, 2013, 12:51 PM

Yeah me too. 😉 Lego said so on the Shop review. I think it’s just the arms and heads though. Not the bodies 🙁 Still, I’m pretty happy. Also, I found out that the piece they used for the Eye of Sauron is a translucent head with the Eye printed on it. I though it was one of those cylinder bricks with the one stud on the top. I’m pretty sure that the head is the same color as the one with the Death Star printing on it in the Venator-class Republic Cruiser set.

          • Ike June 3, 2013, 2:03 PM

That head would make one CREEPY minifigure!

            • Meneldur son of Garamar June 3, 2013, 3:04 PM

              Right!

        • ninja of stealth June 4, 2013, 12:50 PM

they glow in the dark?????? AWESOME! JUST LIKE LORD VAMPIRE! ( or in this case lord vampyre because his name is spelled like that… ha-ha? ha?)

    • Meneldur son of Garamar June 3, 2013, 11:53 AM

I thought you’d comment on this post, Noah! 😉 In fact, I was on Lego yesterday and found out that these were now on there. 🙂 I’ll be definitely getting all of these (including Orthanc despite the price). And I won’t have to pay for the Tower either! 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • admin June 3, 2013, 12:15 PM

LOL! Great minds think alike! 😆

  • crazybricks June 3, 2013, 11:00 AM

FIRST COMMENT YAY 🙂 I want to get the Pirate Ship Ambush it looks like a great set

  • crazybricks June 3, 2013, 11:02 AM

Never mind about that first comment post the one before mine did not show up than it poped up right after I pressed submit 🙁

  • Håkan June 3, 2013, 12:28 PM

So Lego include that brick disassembler even with smaller sets now? Kind of cool, although I guess that will lead to an abundance on those on the second hand market soon…

    • Fikko3107 June 4, 2013, 2:17 AM

Naw, they’re just including it in really big sets and sets that contains an abundance of plates-on-plates. Personally, I feel this is a good thing; I remember how frustrated I was not to be able to get a Brick Separator when I was just restarting my hobby, since at those times, you could only get them at select Bricks & More sets or buy it from Shop-at-Home, which is not an option…

      • Håkan June 4, 2013, 5:01 AM

It’s included in “The Wizard Battle”, for some reason, although the build looks relatively simple.

        • Fikko3107 June 5, 2013, 2:18 AM

there are LOTS of plates in that set that I doubt little kids can separate without using a brick separator.

          • Håkan June 5, 2013, 5:30 AM

I don’t own the set myself. It might look clearer, then.

          • admin June 5, 2013, 11:13 AM

They do have built-in brick-separators though; their teeth. My brother has four small kids (8,6,4, and 2-year olds). They have a massive LEGO collection and they are expert at using their brick-separators. 😉

            • Håkan June 5, 2013, 1:10 PM

Although the technique was discouraged in an earlier post.

              http://thebrickblogger.com/2010/11/lego-brick-separator/

I’ll see if my AFOL friend has some spares he could sell cheaply next time I meet him. My budget kind of discourages me from buying new sets as of now…

              • admin June 5, 2013, 3:07 PM

That’s for noobs. Advanced LEGO fans user their built-in brick-separators. Just kiddin’. I’m keeping my brother’s kids away from my LEGO with a ten-foot pole. Especially the youngest one. Her brothers call her DESTRUCTOR. 😈

                • Håkan June 5, 2013, 4:55 PM

I am sorting out my old Technic now, and I’m trying to separate various stuck axle pins and such. Not as easily done as hoped.

                  • admin June 6, 2013, 9:23 AM

Yeah, those are a pain to take apart. The new brick-separator has an axle pusher which really helps. 🙂

  • legostuff71 June 3, 2013, 12:52 PM

I just picked up the battle at the black gate set. I bought this set because this set is the only set that has Gandalf the white and of course a very bad, bad guy in it( the mouth of saruron).

    • Meneldur son of Garamar June 3, 2013, 2:45 PM

Very nice! 🙂 I like the Mouth of Sauron and his face is one of the creepiest, most ghoulish minifig faces of all time…. it has no eyes! 😮 I’m wondering where the Nose of Sauron is. If there’s one out there it’s got to be scary.

    • admin June 3, 2013, 7:08 PM

Nice! Have fun building it! 🙂

      • Meneldur son of Garamar June 5, 2013, 3:00 PM

The Nose of Sauron or are you talking to Legostuff71?

  • CraggerThePrinceOfChima August 12, 2013, 9:32 AM

The new sets are wicked! I love them a lot!

  • DX ZX KENDO NRG PWR JAY-MOUTH OF LIGHTNING (Seriously i have a mouth of lightning) :) November 6, 2013, 8:19 AM

    • admin November 6, 2013, 8:53 AM
