I have recently run across a series of small LEGO vignettes created by LEGO fan Felix Greco for his yet unborn child, titled This is the Story… depicting snapshots from their lives. He is intending to publish the photos in a family picture book. I thought the idea was really sweet and others may get inspiration from it too to create something similar. Enjoy! 🙂
There are 20 LEGO vignettes for the family album, and I will share only some of them here so you get an idea of what they look like. If you are interested, you can check out the rest of the photos at Felix’s flickr gallery here: This is the Story – full album
Below are some of the pictures from the LEGO family album. Both the composition and the photography of each vignette is really well done. I also like the captions, encouraging remembering the past and discussion.
So what do you think? How do you like the LEGO family album idea? Have you ever made something similar? Or are you planning to? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below! 😉

First comment! So thoughtful. I like how the last one can leave the reader thinking.
Yeah, I also liked the ending (or new beginning, to be more accurate). I think this kid is going to have lots of LEGO fun growing up! 😛
I would if I had something like this too 🙂 off topic, but the Legends of Chima sets are coming out on august first!
A lot of things are coming out on August 1st. August is going to be an expensive month! 🙄

That… was so… CUTE
That is so charming and it took real imagination to build. Now if only they had the option of ordering flesh toned heads for the family….
Flesh (or Light Nougat) colored heads are more realistic, but usually yellow heads look better. 😉
Barbara, LEGO does make flesh-toned heads in several shades from light skin all the way to very dark. They are available in licensed LEGO sets, or by the piece on BrickLink. There is a very large variety to choose from. 🙂
