Hey Admin I was wondering if you have seen all the episodes of the latest season (I was able to find them all on youtube). I was sad that there wasn’t more episodes, you could have ran with that story-line, but they didn’t. Do you think this is because they are slowing down for the movie? And do you think Ninjago will be retired after the movie sets come out?!

I haven’t finished watching all the episodes yet, but getting close. There is a lot involved with continuing the episodes; developing the story, the sets, relationship with Cartoon Network, TV schedule, etc. Even with previous seasons how the episodes were released often didn’t make any sense to us.

My understanding based on previous announcements is that the upcoming movie will have little to do with the TV show. So I don’t think that the TV show would have to be slowed down, although perhaps there are going to be some cross-references or teasers leading up to the movie.

I think as long as Ninjago is popular with kids, LEGO will continue running with it. There is really no reason to stop one of their most popular stories and product lines, if the audience likes it. They have tried to replace Ninjago with Chima – that didn’t work. Now they are trying Nexo Knights. They are basically probing for other ideas that could become as popular as Ninjago, but so far they haven’t found one. I think Ninjago is open-ended enough that they can continue with the story as long as they want. Of course that’s me talking. LEGO may surprise us with a decision that doesn’t make any sense to us. It happened before… 🙄

To be honest, that’s exactly how I feel about Ninjago as well. They could continue the storyline of it for as long as they want, if the theme is still as popular as it is now. They really haven’t given us that much of a timeline in the show’s world, (All we really know is that the first spinjitzu master created Ninjago and then his sons and the elemental masters fought in the Serpentine Wars. After that, Garmadon was corrupted and Wu banished him to the Underworld.) So, they really never told us what happened before the creation of Ninjago. However, we do know that the first spinjitzu master battled the Overlord for ages, (which I’m guessing is while he’s creating Ninjago) and if LEGO ever does end up running out of ideas for the Ninjago story, they can always create a spin-off series with the battles of the First Spinjitzu Master and the Overlord! 😀

          Exactly! 🙂

Actually Cartoon Network provides the showing service, not Disney. And they already have been putting a ton of props for the next movie, the Wu-Cru emblem is for the movie, yet they tease it a billion time in the show. It is supposed to be hidden in different scenes, but some are pretty obvious.

Oh, yes, I meant CN, not Disney. Thanks for catching that. It’s amazing that Ninjago continues to be so exciting after so many seasons. I’m curious how they will handle the movie, but I’m happy with just the regular seasons too. 😀

    Why is Cole a ghost?

    • admin February 17, 2016, 11:03 AM

In “The Temple on the Haunted Hill”, When the ninja were looking for the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, they went to Yang’s Haunted Temple to find out how to perform Airjitzu using an ancient scroll. The ghost of Sensei Yang warns them that he who doesn’t escape before dawn will become a ghost, which causes the ninja to scramble out of the temple and drop the scroll in the process. When Cole leaps back to grab it, he doesn’t make it out in time, and he transforms into a ghost.

      • TheBrickLot February 17, 2016, 3:49 PM

Ghosts are already like ninja, but to have a ghost ninja! That means bad news for the baddies.
SPOILER ALERT (if you have seen the first few episodes of the new season you should be fine)

When Ronin sees Cole with thermal vision, is that possible? I mean do ghosts even has a temperature?

        • BLProductions February 17, 2016, 10:31 PM

Not really. Ghosts technically do not have substance, and thus don’t give off heat (Cole’s ability to touch objects in the episodes is kinda bending the rules), but LEGO is ignoring that, and I suppose it’s allowable; there is no solid information regarding ghosts in real life, and therefore Cole and the other ghosts can have any properties LEGO desires.
However, it’s possible Ronin was using Infrared vision (assuming Cole was merely on a light frequency not visible to human eyes), and the script just said “thermal” so kids watching the show could understand how he saw Cole….

Wow, it’s been forever since I was on here. Didn’t realize the Ninjago series has come so far since I last posted (which was years ago). I only watched a bit of the Master Chen arc before I entered high school, and I’ve never watched Ninjago since… Is it worth coming back to?
