While LEGO no longer lists all the upcoming new sets and promotions at the LEGO Store Calendar, there are some promotions and events for the month of February that we already know about. So, let’s take a look at what’s happening this month. 🙂
➡ THE LEGO MOVIE 2 IN THEATRES: The big news this month is that The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will be in theatres on February 8th! Most LEGO fans have been super excited about this film, and based on the reaction of people who have seen it already via pre-screenings, it is going to be awesome! If you haven’t gotten them already, the sets are available at The LEGO Movie 2 section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ THE LEGO MOVIE 2 WELCOME TO APOCALYPSEBURG!: Also related to The LEGO Movie 2, the #70840 LEGO Movie 2 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! set is now available for everyone, not just LEGO VIP members. This massive, 3,178-piece set measures over 20” (52cm) high, 19” (49cm) wide and 12” (33cm) deep, and includes 12 minifigs in a post-apocalyptic setting. You can read and watch a full review of the set here, and purchase it at The LEGO Movie 2 section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ FREE LEGO YEAR OF THE PIG: Carried over from last month, the #40186 LEGO Year of the Pig set is still available with purchases of $88 or more. This promotion will run until February 7th, or until supplies last. This cute set comes in a sturdier than usual box with a flip-up lid, and it also includes a money envelope. It follows the size and style of the previous sets celebrating Chinese New Year, like the #40148 LEGO Year of the Sheep from 2015, the #40207 LEGO Year of the Monkey from 2016, the #40234 LEGO Year of the Rooster from 2017, and the #40235 LEGO Year of the Dog from last year. The sets make a very nice and unique collection together. This offer is valid on all orders at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ FREE LEGO DUPLO FARM SET: As we discussed a couple of days ago, LEGO is celebrating the 50th anniversary of LEGO DUPLO. To help you join the fun, LEGO is offering the #30326 LEGO DUPLO Farm set with LEGO DUPLO purchases of $20 or more. This promotion also runs until February 7th. To check out the current selection, visit the LEGO DUPLO section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ FREE LEGO MOVIE 2 TRADING CARDS: This is another offer that started last month, and will run until February 24th, or until supplies last. You will get three free #5005794 LEGO Movie 2 Trading Card Packs (of four cards each) with purchases of $40 or more. In addition, if you are a LEGO VIP member, you will also get the #5005777 LEGO Movie 2 Collector Album to store your cards with purchases of $15 or more. We talked about both of these promotional items in detail here. This offer is valid on all orders at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO SETS ON CLEARANCE SALE: The clearance sale for older LEGO sets continues with over 130 items on sale. This includes several LEGO BrickHeadz sets, large LEGO Star Wars figures and many other LEGO Star Wars sets, LEGO Ninjago spinners and other LEGO Ninjago sets, sets from The LEGO Ninjago Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie, LEGO Minecraft sets, LEGO Friends sets, LEGO Disney sets, and a bunch of other miscellaneous sets. You can find them all at the SALE section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ DOUBLE VIP POINTS ON SELECT SETS: It looks like LEGO is continuing to offer two sets per month with Double VIP Points. For the month of February, the two sets are the #70828 LEGO Movie 2 Pop-Up Party Bus and the #10895 LEGO DUPLO Emmet and Lucy’s Visitors from the DUPLO Planet. You can find them both at the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO VALENTINE’S DAY BUILDING EVENT: If you live near a LEGO store, there is going to be a Valentine’s Day building event on February 12th for adult LEGO fans, where they can build and personalize their own greeting card. Please note that you need to pre-register for the event, which you can do starting today by calling your local LEGO store. There are also a couple of Valentine’s Day sets available; the #40187 LEGO Flower Display, and the #40349 LEGO BrickHeadz Valentine’s Puppy. You can find them both at the Online LEGO Shop.
Besides the promotions mentioned above, it is very likely that there will be other specials later this month, most likely related to the The LEGO Movie 2. Also, remember all the new sets that were released at the beginning of the year, including two new LEGO Architecture sets, new LEGO BrickHeadz sets, all the new LEGO City, LEGO Classic, and LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets, the LEGO Disney and LEGO Friends sets, several new LEGO Minecraft sets, the LEGO Ninjago Legacy collection, the new LEGO Spider-Man sets, a host of new LEGO Star Wars sets, the LEGO Overwatch collection, a large selection of LEGO Speed Champions sets, and all the new LEGO Technic sets. And there are also special large sets for collectors like the #10264 LEGO Creator Corner Garage, and #70840 LEGO Movie 2 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! You can find all the new sets at the NEW section of the Online LEGO Shop.
Speaking of new sets, this is also the time of the year where new LEGO sets are revealed for the rest of the year through the various toy fairs. The London Toy Fair took place at the end of January, and only the #70839 LEGO Movie 2 Rexcelsior! spaceship and various accessories and storage solutions were on display. The German Toy Fair is still going on, and so far revealed a large number of LEGO sets, but pictures were not allowed (we will talk about these once the event is over). The New York Toy Fair is February 16th-19th, and we will likely see more new sets.
What do you think? Are you planning to get any new sets this month? And are you going to watch The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part when it gets released next week? What new sets do you hope to see through the toy fairs? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I’m definitely want to see the Lego 2 movie and at some point get some of the Lego sets. I’m in a bit of a predicament, I have a lot of sets ( to build and to display) and right now I have ninjago all over the place. I did do the dividing of the three tables ( one table has all the the bad guys ,the other table has all of the good guys and in the middle is ninjago city and the temple of airjitzu.) The good guy table is crowded with a lot of dragons and vehicles. The bad guy table is about the same. So, I’m in a ninjago universe. Lol! This puts a limit on getting more sets at this point . I still would like to get more of the star wars battle packs ( I’m a little behind in that area).
Sounds like you have plenty to play with already! I see a battle brewing over the horizon! 😀
Oh, good! No new sets so I can catch up on the January ones. I was reading the review on the speed champions the other day, and now I’m thinking I should get some. 😀
I’m curious to see what promotions they will have after the movie comes out. Should I wait? I like the collector cards, but if something better comes up, I may change my mind.
Unfortunately, LEGO no longer reveals ahead of time the upcoming specials, so there is no way to know. If you do miss a special giveaway, like a polybag or something, you can always pick it up on BrickLink. They are usually not very expensive. \
The kids can’t wait for the Lego Movie 2! That’s all they are talking about. They already have some of the sets, and I’m sure they will want more after watching the movie. They also like the city firetruck with light and sound, but I think that will have to wait until a birthday or Christmas. (Didn’t we just have Christmas a few days ago? Sigh…)
I can’t wait for The LEGO Movie 2 myself! And yeah, the release will probably result in a new surge of sales. Definitely not the best for our wallet. 🙄
Those flowers are cute. Are the instructions available? I would like to make them with my children.
Building instructions can be downloaded in US letter or Intl A4 size from Lego’s homepage.
