Your dream holiday… what does it look like? Is it enjoying a meal with friends and family? Is it exploring coral reefs in tropical waters? In the latest LEGO Ideas contest, the LEGO Ideas team is asking you to come up with a small model that depicts your dream holiday. The only restrictions are that your model should be between 150-250 pieces. Besides the awesome and generous LEGO Ideas contest prizes, the winner will also have the opportunity to have their model turned into an official gift-with-purchase set. You can read all the details below.
The contest consists of 3 phases: 1.) Submission Phase – Build and submit your entry before June 12th, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. EST. 2.) Judging Phase – the LEGO Ideas judges review the entries and choose 15 entries, which will then go forward to the fan vote phase, on June 19th, 2020. 3.) Voting Phase – LEGO Ideas members will then have the opportunity to vote once, for their favorite entry from June 19th, 2020 until June 26th, 2020. 4.) Winners Announcement – The grand prize winner and five runner up winners will be shared on LEGO Ideas no later than July 7th, 2020!
How to enter the contest: 1.) Build your favorite dream holiday using LEGO bricks or a digital building tool like LEGO Digital Designer. 2.) Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. 3.) Add a title and short description. 4.) Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the contest entry page. The usual contest rules and restrictions apply, which you can also read on the same page. One of the most important rules to be aware of is that this is a contest for teen and adult LEGO fans, so you must be at least 13 years of age to participate and enter.
The grand prize winner of this contest will get the exclusive opportunity to have their model transformed into a new gift-with-purchase set. On top of this, the grand prize winner will also receive the following: #10270 LEGO Creator Expert Bookstore, #21322 LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay, #40436 LEGO Lucky Cat, #40385 LEGO Trophy, #40370 40 Years of LEGO Trains, #40407 LEGO Star Wars Death Star II Battle, and a LEGO Ideas tote bag. In addition, five runner up winners will each receive the following: #10270 LEGO Creator Expert Bookstore, #40370 40 Years of LEGO Trains, #40407 LEGO Star Wars Death Star II Battle, and a LEGO Ideas tote bag.
Due to the requested small size of the entries, this is a contest where even those with less experience, a small collection of LEGO pieces, and less building time can participate. On the other hand, this also means that there will be an unusually high number of entries to compete against. In fact, there are already over 200 submissions, which you can check out at the contest entry page. Still, this is a good opportunity for those who never entered into a LEGO Ideas contest before. It’s worth it just for the experience, and of course, there is also a chance that you may win! If you are interested, head over to the contest page to get started.

Maybe make like a covid moc? With minifigs wearing masks at the beach? Or is that too morbid? 😀
I think it’s supposed to be a dream holiday, not a nightmare. 😉
Ouch! Don’t do that! A dream vacation, remember? The keyword is DREAM!
Let’s see if I can come up with something. I would love to win and get the pirate ship bay!
I don’t know if I can compete with all the awesome entries already submitted, but at least I’m happy that we will be getting an official set out of this contest.
