Just a quick reminder that LEGO is currently offering Double VIP Points on all purchases. LEGO fans always look forward to Double VIP Points periods, as it is often the only way to get a discount on some of the largest and most popular sets. This offer is valid until Sunday, October 17th.
As we discussed at the beginning of the month (see: October 2021 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions), there is a great selection of new sets to choose from, or you can also consider some of the sets released earlier this year. I would especially focus on the larger sets as those usually don’t go on sale, and they tend to go on backorder as we get closer to the holiday season.
Some of the newest sets you might consider are the #10293 LEGO Winter Village Santa’s Visit and other holiday sets, the #10290 LEGO Creator Expert 1950s Farm Pick Up Truck, the #42131 LEGO Technic App-Constrolled CAT D11 Bulldozer, the #21329 LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster, the #71395 LEGO Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block, the #10291 LEGO Queer Eye – The Fab 5 Loft, and many more.
And of course, you can also consider some of the small to medium sets to earn Double VIP Points. Or even some of the older sets you have been saving up for. And remember to check the holiday sets, as they usually sell out well before Christmas.
Speaking of smaller sets, remember that during the entire month of October, you will get a free #30413 LEGO Friends Flower Cart with purchases of $40 or more, and until October 24th, you will also get a free #30370 LEGO City Ocean Diver with purchases of $40 or more.
Again, the Double VIP Points period will last until the end of this week, so start building your wanted list, set a reminder, and make sure you don’t miss out.
What do you think? Are you planning to get anything during the Double VIP Points period? Which sets are on your wish list for this holiday season? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

Hmm, I bit the bullet and bought the 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile, although it’s rather expensive here in Sweden, and would require a Robin minifig from somewhere.
Oh, perfect timing! I’m glad I waited!
I heardvrhat some stores pulled the city stunt bikes. That thwre is some issue with them. Is that true?
Hmm, the reviews I’ve seen have been unexpectedly positive. The flywheel function was a lot more powerful than expected. But I might have missed something…
The issue is actually not with the back flywheel, but the connection of the front wheel. Numerous people reported that the front wheel tends to fall off when revving up the bike, and the fork that holds the front wheel breaks easily. Apparently, LEGO is already working on a replacement solution.
UPDATE: Here is an update about this issue from LEGO via the LEGO Ambassador Network:
“Some consumers in the Americas region have experienced breakage with a wheel element when playing with the LEGO® City Stuntz motorbike. This is a product quality issue and does not pose a safety risk. The fault is only present on LEGO City Stuntz sets on sale in the Americas and does not affect any similar sets available elsewhere. We want to provide our consumers with only the best possible play experience and have taken immediate action to rectify the problem, working on ways to ensure our consumers in the Americas also receive the same high-quality play experience as those in the rest of the world. Consumers can also request replacement elements by contacting LEGO Customer Services.”
Whoa, seems like the brittle-brown Mexican factory is a factor yet again…
I don’t know what’s going on in that factory, but yeah, unfortunately, you’re right… 🙁
