LEGO Modular Jazz Club with Pizzeria & More!

Today, the LEGO Group unveiled the hottest new music venue in town – the #10312 LEGO Jazz Club. A vibrant addition to the LEGO Modular Building collection, the LEGO Jazz Club banishes the blues, bringing the theme of music to the collection for the first time.

Featuring a decorative interior and exterior, the set can be built in five pieces and includes a Jazz Club, a Pizzeria, a Managerial Office, a Tailor’s Workshop, a Dressing Room, and a Rooftop Green House on the lower roof. The set comes with 2,899 pieces, and measures 30cm / 10” high and 26cm / 11.5” wide.

In the image below, you can see how the Jazz Club fits with the #10297 LEGO Modular Boutique Hotel from last year and the #10278 LEGO Modular Police Station from a couple of years ago. Both of these sets are still available at the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The LEGO Modular Jazz Club was designed by LEGO designer Andy Grubb. Hopefully, there is going to be a designer-video where he talks about the set.

Below are images of the three levels of the building, as well as the roof.

And here are some images of the interior spaces.

In addition, the set comes with eight minifigures including a Jazz Singer, Bassist, Drummer, Pizza Chef, Pizza Delivery Driver, Club Manager, Tailor, and Magician.

As usual, the set can be connected with previous LEGO Modular Buildings via a couple of LEGO Technic pins.

The LEGO Modular Jazz Club will be available from the 1st of January, 2023 via official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop. Prices are as follows: $/€229.99/£ 199.99/ 349.99 AUD/ 299.99 CAD. For more information, visit the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I love it. It’s almost enough to get me into the modular buildings, but my pile of shame is $2k deep already, without them!

That jazz club / magic show combo seems to be a relatively rare combination outside of Lego building…

Otherwise, I guess interior-wise, Lego is a rather good fit for small, intimate establishments like these…

Otherwise, is that contrabass a new part? I might possibly try to snag one, separately…

It is! In an interview with Brickset, set designer Anderson Ward Grubb revealed that the element was first developed for Vidiyo, but is entering production for the first time here.

          Sweet.

I think the scooter’s new in Bright Green, as well…

Also,,, that phrasing “the LEGO Jazz Club banishes the blues” is kinda clumsy… Didn’t jazz sorta grow out of blues?… =D

I was wondering why the Pizza Chef would grow carrots in the rooftop green house, but now I realise that there will be a magic show on stage and the carrots are for the magician’s rabbit 🙂

My understanding is that it’s the pizza chef’s garden where he grows fresh veggies and herbs for pizza toppings.

        Adds pizzazz!

It’s too much like the fire brigade. The design is very similar and the color is the same. I was reading somewhere that they originally thought of using dark blue, but it ended up too stark or something. But I wonder if I would like it better or what other colors would work. I like the light yellow though. Very similar to the friends pizzeria from a few years ago.

Now that you mention it, I can’t unsee the fire brigade and the friends set. Lol. I’m still okay with the exterior, but I feel the interior is a little to sparse.

This might be a crazy idea, but what about dark purple? They already have some lavender in there, and I see some purple too.

Not that crazy. I might try that. Dark blue too. I will have to experiment. Maybe change the front first and see how it looks before changing the rest of the second and third floors.

Dark Purple, as in Lego’s current regular Purple? It might be too bright if you opt for a naturalist look, I think. Unless you go for the Notting Hill vibe or similar…

I like the idea of dark purple too, as crazy as it may seem! 😀
