To celebrate the launch of the #21338 LEGO Ideas A-Frame Cabin, created by the first Italian fan designer Andrea Lattanzio, the LEGO Ideas team got a challenge that just kicked off a couple of days ago. All details can be found via the LEGO Ideas Challenge Brief, but below is a summary.
The first LEGO Ideas challenge of 2023 is here! the LEGO Ideas team is really looking forward to seeing what you can create for this challenge and the rest for this year!
You’ve made it to your cabin, a sweet escape. A disconnect and time to reset. But what do you do now? If you could do pretty much anything during your cabin holiday, what would it be? Maybe kayaking, rock climbing, or some fishing? Whatever it is, show us what you would get up to.
The contest will consist of 3 phases: Submission Phase – Create and submit your entry before March 9th, 2023 at 6:00 a.m. EST. The LEGO Ideas team recommends submitting your entry 2-3 days before the deadline in the event they have to return it to you for changes. If your entry is submitted before the intake closing date but is sent back to you for changes, you will have until March 10th, 2023 at 6:00 a.m. EST. to resubmit. Resubmissions after this will not be accepted. Judging Phase – The LEGO Ideas judges review the entries and choose the winning entries by March 16th, 2023. Winners Announcement - The LEGO Ideas team will share the grand prize winner and two runner-up winners at the LEGO Ideas website no later than March 23rd, 2023.
Submissions may be either in physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as BrickLink Stud-io. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to create your images. Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. Please submit your photos in as high a resolution as possible so that the LEGO Ideas team can see all the details clearly. If possible, the shortest edge should be at least 1,080 pixels. Add a title and a short description. Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the LEGO Ideas contest entry page.
Suppose you are the grand prize winner of this contest. In that case, you’ll win the following: a signed copy of the #21338 LEGO Ideas A-Frame Cabin by the LEGO designers, the #21337 LEGO Ideas Table Football, the #21318 LEGO Ideas Tree House, and the #21335 LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse. Two runner-up winners of the contest will win the following: a signed copy of the #21338 A-Frame Cabin by the designers, and the #21335 LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse.
