LEGO Lion Knights Castle in Classic Yellow!

The recently released #10305 LEGO Lion Knights Castle is inspired by legendary LEGO castles of the past like the #375 LEGO Yellow Castle from 1978, and the #6080 LEGO King’s Castle from 1984.

#6080 LEGO King’s Castle from 1984

The 4,514-piece set features towers, turrets, hidden passages, movable walls, secret hideouts, a dungeon, a medieval drawbridge, an opening portcullis, a mill with a turning waterwheel, living quarters, an armory, and more. And of course, the set also brings back the much-loved Lion Knights, Black Falcons, Forestmen, wizards, and townspeople.

To make the new set even more nostalgic, LEGO fan Bricker Parker (who is well known for his custom LEGO Winter Village models and other cute and colorful creations) rebuilt the #10305 LEGO Lion Knights Castle in the classic colors of the #375 LEGO Yellow Castle. Take a look below, and if you would like to see more, visit Bricker Parker’s Facebook page.

Now I don’t know which one I like better; the yellow version or the gray version! What do you think? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! And you haven’t done so already, you can take a look at currently available #10305 LEGO Lion Knights Castle at the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

As I was born in 1980, I don’t really have that many nostalgic feelings for the Yellow Castle, although the Cypresses are always cool.

I wonder whether that Dark Pink Ribbon is replica or original. Otherwise, there seem to be few particular era-specific minifigures or horses in the build.

It’s neat but having just completed the Lego build, part of what makes it so fun is all the new pieces and building techniques that you just can’t do with the yellow elements as some of the bricks are only available in grey.

Oh dear, I would love to build this version! There is something about the yellow castle that no other castle can match.

I was wondering if someone will do this. Great job!

It’s weird how the mood of the yellow castle is different. I like it a lot. Maybe even more than the official set.

I wonder how much this guy spent on those cypress trees. They are expensive!

It’s difficult to tell from the images, but I’m not sure if there are more than three…

Oh, hey, Chad! Nice to have you over! We’re all jealous of your cypress trees. I only have one, but love it so much! As you said, they look great! 🙂

I like how the yellow castle is not an exact copy of the gray one, but it makes it even better. Great work!

I wonder if they also redid the back side and interior of the castle. I would love to see that.

I mean, “Classic Castle” won the Anniversary Set Vote, so one wonders why they went with gray…. =D
