LEGO Ideas Contest: Micro Space Exploration

There is a new contest on LEGO Ideas, this time inviting LEGO fans to build their very own micro-scale space explorers!

Real-life orbital bases and lunar rovers are just as welcome as fantastical shuttles and high-tech rocket ships. The only requirement is that your build is microscale, so you can capture even more of your space story in the scene. Remember: microscale is even smaller than minifigure scale – so no minifigures fit this challenge. Think small but mighty!

If you’re interested in this contest, submit your build by February 18th at 6:00 AM EST. Your creation can be built using physical bricks or digital tools like BrickLink Studio or other third-party LEGO CAD software. The LEGO Ideas team will review and select 1 build to receive the grand prize and up to 5 builds to receive a bonus prize. Results will be posted on LEGO Ideas no later than March 19th. You can submit your entry at the LEGO Ideas contest page.

The grand prize winner will receive the following: #10341 LEGO Icons NASA Artemis Space Launch System, #31378 LEGO Creator Space Exploration Telescope, #42179 LEGO Technic Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit, and #21333 LEGO Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night.

The five bonus prize winners will receive the following: #31378 LEGO Creator Space Exploration Telescope, #42179 LEGO Technic Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit, and #21333 LEGO Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night.

This contest is proving to be very popular, with over 150 submissions already. If you want to check them out for inspiration and what you’re up against as a potential contestant. What do you think? Are you planning to enter this contest? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!
