Admin Page: 100 Things About Me…

Hello, there!!! And welcome to my blog! In case you were curious who is behind this website and the yellow crash-test dummy; my real name is Anna, but I go by “akunthita” or “thita” on most LEGO forums, and I’m the queen admin around here at theBrickBlogger. I hate writing official “about me”-s, so instead here is a bunch of random stuff to satisfy your curiosity. If you have questions just email me or leave a comment at the end!

1. My favorite LEGO themes are castle and fantasy, and recently I also got into trains.
2. I collect LEGO 2×2 bricks; currently I have 53 different colors, including some very rare ones.
3. I received my first LEGO set when I was 7-years-old.
4. I don’t like mixing LEGO and cloth (capes, flags, etc.), even if it is an official LEGO part.
5. I have a Bricklink store; Sunshine State Bricks.
6. I share most of my LEGO stuff at my flickr gallery.
7. I can’t stand stickered LEGO parts, but love when they are printed!
8. I own over 500 minifigs in my personal collection.
9. I really like the now discontinued DUPLO Castle and DUPLO Pirate lines.
10. I keep my LEGO very organized, but building can get messy.
11. I collect the little plastic-tub Creator sets. I have all 16 released.
12. I have been a vegetarian since I was 18-years-old.
13. I’m left-handed.
14. I have never flown first class.
15. Currently I’m a black belt in Cuong Nhu, and train regularly.
16. I have almost drowned three times.
17. I have bungee jumped in Squamish, BC, Canada one time.
18. I have been on a cruise twice; both times on Royal Caribbean.
19. I have eaten fire.
20. I have walked barefoot on fire for 50 feet.
21. I have had a cinder-block broken over my chest with a sledge-hammer while lying on a bed of nails. Yeah, don’t ask!
22. I once fasted on fruit and water for 90 days and twice for 30 days.
23. I have poor night-vision.
24. I’m an awesome vegetarian cook and even better baker.
25. I have elaborate dreams – like being in the movies all night!
26. I own a Sunset Orange Honda Element.
27. I used to be an eBay PowerSeller.
28. The biggest thing I bought on eBay was my car.
29. The biggest thing I sold on eBay was an Avion travel-trailer.
30. I own a Trek bike.
31. I have been to India once.
32. I have played paintball.
33. I have snorkeled in Haiti.
34. I know how to use a shotgun and a handgun.
35. I have driven a tank.
36. I’m a non-drinker, non-smoker, non-drug user.
37. I have been to the Bahamas.
38. I have been to SeaWorld twice and Discovery Cove once.
39. I have been to Mexico three times.
40. I have been horse-back riding only once.
41. I drink at least a half a gallon of water every day.
42. I used to have two parakeets; one green/yellow and one blue/white.
43. I have been to Trinidad.
44. I speak English, Hungarian and German a bit.
45. I have lived in an ashram as a monk for 8 years.
46. I have never been on a big rollercoaster, only the older wooden ones.
47. I have been surrounded by wild dolphins while swimming in the Atlantic.
48. I once delivered phonebooks.
49. I briefly worked at a factory that was making parts for tanks.
50. I have worked at a vegetarian restaurant for three years.
51. I have helped building the Smoke Bluff Park Trails in Squamish, BC, Canada.
52. I have all my wisdom teeth, and my tonsils.
53. I’m a good at all the artsy-craftsy stuff.

61. I have volunteered at a youth correctional facility.
62. I’m the oldest of nine siblings.

68. I never had braces.
69. I’m allergic to chemical cleaning supplies.
70. I used to be a real bookworm, now not as much.
71. I have played roulette in Las Vegas.
72. I have seen three of the Cirque de Soleil shows.
73. I like to sleep on the floor.
74. I don’t like icy drinks.
75. I don’t mind rodents, but some bugs freak me out.
76. I haven’t read any of the Harry Potter books.
77. I love warm-weather places!
78. I have never broken any bones.
79. I can whistle – a little.
80. I can never tell right from left.
81. I always had trouble with numbered streets.
82. I wash my darks and whites together.
83. I’m a late afternoon person; 4 PM to sunset is my favorite part of the day.
84. I feel more comfortable around kids than adults.
85. I haven’t seen any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies; stinky, toothless guys are not my thing.
86. I only know how to hand-sew and would love to learn how to use a sewing-machine.
87. I can play the piano, acoustic guitar and flute a little bit and harmonium pretty good.
88. I love playing Frisbee.
89. My favorite ice-cream flavor is “St. Augustine Mud”.
90. I have been to four continents: North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
91. I have been to 12 countries.
92. I believe there are wars on this planet because grown-ups take themselves way too seriously.
93. I never liked zoos; always wanted to open up the cages!
94. So far I have counted 35 different birds in our back-yard.
95. My favorite quote is: “Allow space for magic to occur.”
96. My hubby is an NLP (Non-LEGO-Person), but he has great taste and great eye for details.
97. Ours is a DINK household (Dual-Income-No-Kids).
98. The movie “Brother Sun, Sister Moon” was a turning-point in my life.
99. I’m obsessed with round numbers so had to add this in…
