With Lord Garmadon good once again, and the Overlord beaten, it seemed there was nothing left for the ninja to do. But is that really true? A moderator on the official LEGO Message Boards, Keighlian, posted “An Important Ninjago Announcement“. Read it below! 😛

“But, what news? What news could be so important? Isn’t Ninjago being discontinued in 2013?!”, we hear you exclaim! Ah yes, young ninja, we sense you are eager to learn more and so shall the news be revealed…
Because our message boards fans are so awesome and because we know you love Ninjago more than anyone else in the entire world, nay universe, we are giving you guys this information first and exclusively! Check the Internet; see if anyone else is mentioning this! They won’t be right now because you’re hearing this from us first and you’re the first to know!

But even more interesting is the attached poster! It may seem like it is just Zane after his “brush” with the Great Devourer, but, if you look closely into his eyes, there seems to be something else lurking in the shadows! 🙄
What do you think this could mean? Could Ninjago really be returning? Will the ninja fight robots next? Is Zane’s father actually going to play a bigger part in a future series? Do you think there will be more sets? Or could this just mean we might get a few mini-movies? Can Ninjago co-exist with Chima? So much to think about! So many questions! What do you think? In a way, great, and in a way, not so great.
First, this is the only place in the Ninjago story that they possibly could have stopped, and way in the blazes would Lego prettend like it was ending and then continue it, unless they just wanted to see the reaction.
But most odd is that they will have chima going at the same time.
I would not think it would be a good idea to have your most succesful (or set up to be such) running at the same time as your second most succesful one, scince it would make peolple like my buy less Chima so I could afford more Ninjago.
Right now I’m worried Chima will kill Ninjago’s sales. 🙁
Same here……it seems a bit stupid to have two very similar themes (Ninjago and Chima) running along side each other -especially because Ninjago was so popular. :S
Or vice versa. I think though it just depends on how LEGO plays this out. If they keep Ninjago as a sort of secondary action theme like Power Miners (more the traditional thing, that is), with say 6 sets every now and then, they shouldn’t have much trouble. I think they were hoping that Ninjago fans would slide into Chima a bit more easily, but as long as they’re not, why not make money off it?
Yeah, I’m also wondering how this is going to work between Chima and Ninjago. Maybe Chima is going to be a one year theme only, although from the initial hype it didn’t seem to be the case. And while Chima is going on Ninjago will just continue with teasers and maybe some mini-movies. We shall see… 🙄
I hope Chima only lasts a year or two. Unless I all of the sudden like it. (As if that would ever happen. 😛 )

Wow, i was sure that it was gone. I was hearing some rumors about some people who saw a ninjago teaser with Jay’s parents’ junkyard on fire and Jay hanging up his ninjago costume, and i thought that it was fake…but i guess that its quite possibly true……
If that is true, I’m excited. I had thought that, maybe there was a possiblity that LEGO would do a mini-movie/episode on each ninja, and then a sort of pack for each ninja, and then of course each ninja would eventually have their own poster. What you described does sound pretty cool…
Yeah, i was almost positive that it was fake at first, but then i saw this post and thought that it might just be true…i’ll try to get the link to the lego message boards post that described it in more detail. All i heard was that jay’s parents were supposed to die (IKR? it doesn’t seem like lego would do that) and then he will (supposedly) hang up his ninja suit for good.

MY STORY: Part 1:
The ninja help Dareth get his dojo up and running after the ninjas taught him spinjitzu. Rufus McAlister visited him everyday since the Overlord’s defeat, becoming the best of friends. Meanwhile, Montgomery Garmadon was with his lieutenants Pythor P. Chumsworth and the long-thought dead Samukai, now part cyborg and is the alien and robot leader. Now with the three head honchos ready to attack the heroes with their armies, who will survive?
They came down like hail and thunder. The demonic creatures, the aliens, the robot, the skeletons and the serpentine attack Ninjago. The first to notice is Rufus. He got his last illuma sword, hoping it would work. But suddenly he lost it as soon as the armies attacked. He went to the Mojo Dojo to get Dareth. Dareth, growing braver each day, went to fight this threat while Mother Doomsday went to call the ninja. But there was no need. The fleet could be seen from the Dark Island, where Zane and his father were working. The junkyard, where Nya, Jay and his parents were. The rebuilt monastery where the Garmadon’s were. The Four Weapons blacksmith shop where Kai was. And Cole’s house where he and his father were. Cole hopped into his drill and drove underground, picking up nearly everyone. Jay aand his parents to the Ultra Sonic Raider while Nya took her Samurai Mech. Zane and his dad took their dragon But by then Dareth was nearly defeated. He would of been if it wasn’t for thee quick arrival of the ninja. The earth drill and USR arrived before the dragon, but that unimportant. All that mattered now was who won or who lost. Let’s see next time.

I knew there would be a bunch of happy Ninjago fans here.
And there is.
This seems to be the happiest day on earth for every Ninjago fan who has commented, pretty much everybody is so excited.
This was definitly a great move on LEGOs part, I mean, if you look at my poll I made awhile ago (you can take it by clicking on my name), you can see that 35 out of the 54 different voters said that they would rather see Chima never happen than just keeping both and taking away another theme. Personally, I think what Kevin Hinkle said was incorrect, bearly any Ninjago fans have been even thinking of buying a set from the theme that might replace the theme they love.
🙄 Really? I don’t bear any grudge against Chima personally; I’ve got around $60 I want of just the first wave. Combined with the what I know is coming in the March/April wave, I think it beats Ninjago!
Not to mention my brother, who is going crazy over the Ravens! 😆

No idea. Someone asked the same question on the LEGO message board as well, and the response was that there are plans for 2013 but they can’t share the details just yet. 😉
Well, LEGO sure suprised me by airing the Final Battle season starting last June, but my guess for this one is something small (not actually 13 episodes, but more like 5 or six – possibly 7), to tie in with a summer release – supposing there is one – and be a sort of filler while Chima takes a break. But of course, there’s really no saying what could happen!

Perhaps it is not Zane’s father’s doings but mabey a diffrent chourse is in motion, perhaps a new villan has come to ninjago and has gotten a hold of Zane’s Father’s work or Blueprints because they are in a open area. and Last time I cheeked the ninja frogot to close the tree door 😎 Leading me to suspect thet mabey an inteligent “Person” Got a hold of his work but made some changes, some changes that will lead to a new begning in Ninjago history, and a new war. But this is only to be told by the future, and the future awaits. Although this could be something else, If you look real close you will see three red dots in the “robots” eyes so mabey instead of a diffrent. I have seen this desgin in ningago before, I have also seen the armor detail in Ninjago before, the guard robot guarding the tree.>

From what I can see, it looks like he has three sort of oval red dots in his eye, but they all attach in a point, and the he has a sort of metal eye patch around it but just on his right (actually if he were to turn around it would be his left) side. The other eye (supposing there is one) seems to be covered by his mask, but that could just be because of the picture. At any rate, it looks like there isn’t any metal there. He has a sort of short anteana sticking out the top, and also a shoulder bracket on one side at least. A bit more dotted and less lined than the Ninja one. I really can’t say what it’s supposed to be, because it could be a human who put this metal thing over their eye, it could be a robot (similar to Zane), or something a bit more robotic and less human. Who knows?
Hmmm, that is actually pretty smart, I’ll have to investigate that.

Do you see the robots reflected on the eyes of Zane? Will those be Nindroids, or perhaps others like Zane? Zane´s father said that he had done terrible things. Would these be those creations? That would be the new theme of 2014
He was probably reffering to the Skeleton Vehicles. But who knows?
Yeah maybe but look taht there is only 1 eye, The skeletons had 2 and their vehicles too this could be robots. Remember The last Voyage? Zane´s Father said that he made terrible things, would this be all thos terrible things? He also said that if he seen them he would think that his a monster.
I’m pretty sure that he said when he saw them… implying that he had seen them (which, if they were the Skeleton Vehicles, of course he had).
But didn´t he say that he denied that offer and because of that he was kept into that prison? and he never mentioned what terrible things he made

I just saved the picture and took it to pait were I zoomed in and outlined the “Robot” Mabey this is not a Robot but I person in armor and a robotic eye. This is not the first time I have seen a person with a robotic eye, there are many movies, book, ect. with human and/or Aliens with robotic eyes. As you can all see the head is smooth but the shoulders and eye is robotic, or made of metal. So it leads to to another hypothisis (What if ithis IS human) After all you get a glimps of the other eye which dose not appear to be gleaming as the other and dose not have a metal frame. What do you think about this idea?
It actually looks like Cole with a robotic eye strap. Would make sense as Cole is the most neglected ninja, so if something happed to him, (that was a good thing), that would be cool.

I think it could in fact be a sort of “Brother” (so to speak) of Zane who is actually evil. The thing I find really strange is that Zane looks the same as he did after getting hit by the great devourer. How is that possible without going back in time? What’s the likelyhood that he would get hurt in exactly the same way if he were hit again?
My investigation found that Zanes injury was covered by some sort of plastic or paper…

Dr. Julian was turned By someone or something, Ulitimatly leading to a new villian in Ninjago, who then commanded Dr. Julian to build/make robots, or whatever you may call them.>
5 But then you can’t exclude that Dr. Julian may have already been made evil. Back in the episode “The Last voyage” Dr. Julian explained how he was still alive, he said ” Bone Head Samukai revived me with a *special* elixir.” That “Elixir” could lead to an important role, mabey that elixir Turned people evil as well as revive them from the dead, so when Samukai imprisoned Dr. Julian he actually did build the Skeletons vechicels without refusing. But why help the ninja destroy the Overlord? Mabey to gain there trust?>
6 And there is also the matter that Dr. Julian being whoely evil from the begining. Turning off Zane’s memory and leaving to strike a deal with the Skeletons, who used his inventions but then later betrayed him and inprisoned him, to be later found by the ninja. But why help them destroy the Overlord if he too was evil? Being evil and clever, he could have saw a way to gain there trust futher and persuade them to believe he was really good.>
7 But then you have Jay’s parents Ed and Edna, who are also invetors, could they have created somthing, that then turned evil? Or perhaps they were convinced to create this “thing” by an unkown new villian.>
8 Ninjago holds many prophecies and legends, much like the once-thought fable serpitine, and the now found Temple of Light. Mabey this ‘thing’ in Zane’s eye is one of the prophecies or legends, after all the scrolls never said anything about what’s waiting in the future. So mabey the thing in Zane’s eyes is just a prophesy in Ninjago waiting to be discovered by somone, or somthing…>
(Questions & Answers)
So how is it that Zane still is injured, didn’t he already get fixed? The answer lies in the episode “Darkness shall rise” Were it appears that Zane has covered his injury by placing a skin-colored paper and/or plastic over his eye. But then couldn’t Dr. Julian have just fixed him? Well I don’t think Zane told Dr. Julian of his injury, but that is just my thoughts on the matter. And so this question is raised (Why dose Zane still have his injury?)>
What is this so called “Robot” in Zanes eye? Could it really be a robot, or somthing else. Upon first glance it dose appear to be a robot, but then the “robot” looks as though it has a hood on, so mabey it is a person. So with saying it might be a “person” If you look into the right eye you see the shoulder armor is not the Ninja’s. The Ninja has a some-what spiked shoulder armor while this one seems to me studded, much like the shoulder armor shown on the praticing armor, worn by the ninja in season one (Year of the snakes). Yet if you look in the left eye you can see the “robot’s” other eye which appears to be “human”, in Zane’s right eye however, this “human” eye is faintly seen. And so this question is raised (What is the “Thing” in Zane’s eyes?)>
Now you sill have to wonder is this really Zane? The answer is not as clear as you may think. this “Zane” Appears to be wearing the ‘Ninjasuit’ and above his head the armor piece. Althought the type of suit he is wearing is difficult to determine, But The armor peice worn by all the ninja dose not hang that low, whether this is Kimono or not, there is a gap were the suit shows below. You may also think that the “brown/yellow” above could be Zane’s hair, yet if it were that wouldn’t the mask be covering his hair? However Zane could be tied up, and have a white scaf tied around his mouth so he can’t talk. And so another question is raised (Is this really Zane?)>
How Many “robots” Are in Zane’s eyes? At first glance there appears to be two, but the two are positioned in such a way that you might think there was only one. Yet the Two appear to be diffrent, the one in the left eye seems closer than the one in the right. But mabey Zane is standing at an angle, and looking at the same “robot”. This seems to be a reasonable answer, intill you look at the shadows, they are not in the position that resembles an angled stance they appear to be in a straight foward sate. And so this question is added on (How many “robots” are there?)
Is the “robot in Zane’s eyes evil? One may think so due to the “robot’s” red eye, but Zane’s calm expression say’s otherwise, perhaps this “robot” is good? But then agian Zane is known to have a plank expression at times, and a true warrior stays calm in the face of fear. Then agian at the eyebrows angle, Zane Could be mad. But whay would Zane be mad? He dose not show emotion easily, unless this “robot” did harm to somone. And so a question is raised agian. (Is the “robot” evil?)
Could this so called “robot” actually be one of the ninja, with a robotic eye peice? It seem possible to me. as Lloyd once broke his leg who’s to say that a ninja might lose an eye, matching the armor to a specific ninja is hard though. But then agina could this be Jay’s new invention, or just a new eye for one of the ninja? The head seems to fit the smoothness of their ninja masks but the shoulder armor is studded and the ninja’s armor is some-what spiked , so is this really one of the ninja, or not? Well the answer seems to lie in the left eye, were it is visible that this “robot” could be actuall “human” thus it could be one of the ninja, but which one? So another Question emerges (Is it a robot or a ninja?)

There are many more ideas and questions raised by this one picture but Overall this appears to only be the begining and not the end for Ninjago. The future holds many mysteries, and with them come many answers, Lets keep our eyes on the future… for now.

Quite a lot of questions you came up with there! I really don’t think Dr. Julien would be tricking Zane. He just seems to have done it far too well! There does seem to be a possibility that the Robotic thing was either created by Dr. J. and “mal-functioned”, so to speak, or he made the plans and it was later taken over by and evil person. Or, like you say, it could be a human or even just some robot out of the blue. And of course there could be more of them!
As far as it being Zane, I don’t think there’s really much doubt about that. It’s true that the mask curves a bit more, but I think that’s just for effect. Plus the second eyebrow is exactly the same. Of course it’s not out of the relm of possibility, but strikes me as unlikely!
Zane looking the same as he did when he was hit by the great devourer is a dilema. Chances are LEGO isn’t really worried about him looking the same and will make him get hit by something else and his “skin” will come off the same way; after all, should he come in a set like that, it will kill two birds with one stone, covering both his post-devourer state and this one. As far as him just haveing been repared with paper or plastic, it strikes me that that’s how he always is; his “skin” is just a very thin layer of some yellow colored stuff that can come off and on fairly easily. But there certainly is a possibility that it was never repaired adiquately; in episode 18, Child’s Play, it’s that side of his face that has problems.
I sincerly doubt the robot is a ninja. He just looks too different, plus he looks quite ominous. I suppose it’s possible that Cole becomes evil for a short time, but it strikes me as unlikely that any of the ninja would change so much. But who knows? There have been many strange and unpredicatble twists to this story!
😆 I desgined this to raise questions, just to spark up your ideas. And actually Cole becoming.. I don’t think so, if anyone became evil it would either be Zane, or Kai. 😐
The reason I suggested cole is that he has been known to turn evil, plus he’s the one that wears black. 😉
Your reasearch is quiet impressive i must say but it has a few holes in it which i posted below.
You do make a good point too, and yes I do too think that Dr. Julian would not be evil, but that is just an idea. 🙄
At the end you said that it could be a ninja, so if it´s this case. Would that ninja be the purple ninja that has been mentioned since Episode 26 in many videos and web sites ? Or maybe Cole that in episode 2 Home said that Zane is weird. That almost hated him until the end of the episode that seem to appreciate a little more like the other 3 ninjas. Or that the Hypnobrai venom affected Coles brain but here is one of my last theories is that Cole and Jay´s Dark Matter hit affected him chronologically well I don´t know how to spell it but could made it bad or Zane got this case but my last theory is that Cole was the one with most time hitted with the dark matter and: 1.- Turned evil and needed an army so he found the robots of Zane´s Father. 2.- Turns evil and turns Garmadon back to the evil once again. 3.- Turns evil and turns Zane evil , this could explain the poster and the “robots” are “humans” or Nindroids like Zane.

From what i see it looks like the zx ninja but with some red eye over his head like a headset but one thing is the eye isnt directly on the left or right,seems like in the middle and doesnt seem low enough for it to be a eye possibly ninja robots?

It doesn’t looks much like a ZX ninja to me; at least not as opposed to a Kimono ninja (in the show, they both have brackets). Strikes me as though it is in the perfect spot for an eye, but IDK. Doubt it’s actually a good guy, as red eyes just connotate evil. Plus the use of black is traditionaly evil as well.
I don’t know about you but, i once thought a dude was evil, but then it turned out he was good. But yes this “robot” appears to be evil. 🙄
I highly doubt Dr.Julien is evil as if he was, wouldent he have created zane to be evil from the start? the special elixir could of made him evil, but if it did wouldent samukai want him to join there army and create all the vechiles they wanted and he would agree?he wouldent be trapped in the lighthouse if he agreed.he also showed up in destiny’s bounty driving it before it crashing if he was evil wouldent he have stayed inside to just plot more?also if he was evil and wanted to rule ninjago why wouldent he have flown Destiny’s bounty back to ninjago city and leave them stranded?Im not sure how the story would work out because zane’s blueprints werent “ninjafied” to be skilled as a ninja so i dont think someone took his plans unless they knew how to give them these ninja skills like the ninja and made that change to zane’s blueprints.
Sensei Wu trained Zane to have Ninja skills, and it’s posible that if somone else were to have ninja skills and then they re-program Dr, Julina’s invetion so it were to be “evil” (so to speak) 🙄

There’s no reason for the mysterous bad guy to have ninja skills IMHO. Why can’t he just be a “normal” evil robot? At least to me, his head gear dosen’t really look that much like a ninja’s… 😕
Yes true, but a “normal” evil robot? Last time I cheeked there was no such thing as a normal evil robot. And the eye gear to me looks like it has a strap so I don’t think it’s a robot at all. 😕 Nut that’s just me.
Yeah, that’s why I put it in quotes, because if you’re an evil robot you’re not usually normal – but I wasn’t sure what else to say… traditional? (How are robots traditional? 😛 )

i think that Dr. Julien may have had a few other “prototype” nindroids. remember, he said to zane in “Last Voyage” that if he knew the other stuff he had invented, he would have called him a monster. my guess is that the prototypes get switched on, and find out how Dr.Julien shut em down and seek revenge by building their own weaapon of sorts. possibly, as a way to destroy the ninja, reprogramming zane?

They never say anything about him except in the first one where Nia says “If father were still here, he’d say…” and Kai cuts her off with, “I know, no matter how much fire you have, experience isn’t something you gain overnight…” and so forth.
The reason he was mentioned once and nya said if he was still here is because he died.

Okay I think y’all have made your point that you think Kai’s father is dead. But my point is that they never say that he is dead. Show me one place in the NinjaGo episodes where they say that he’s dead, I DARE you ’cause I have all the episodes from every season and I can check. And besides, knowing how random NinjaGo has been, there is a big possibility that it will be one of their next stories, and if it isn’t, it might be mine.
It may not be in the episodes, but there is a Kai book (along with the other 3 ninja) and there is a story that completely revolves around Kai’s Father and it indirectly says that he died. It says (and i quote cause i have the book in my lap at this very moment):
“Today, you fought your first great enemy- your own doupts- and you won. Take that victory into your tomorrows and you will bring honor to your name… and to the memory of your father.” -Sensei Wu
(just so you know i didn’t skip any parts, the ‘…’ was written in the book)

Ok. When i first saw the episode 22 (the last voyage), I remember seeing this certain part and thinking (and telling my brother), “That seems kind of weird to add in. I have a feeling LEGO is foreshadowing something for the future!”
Now, what part, do you ask? It is the part where Zane is asking Dr. Julien if he could make a change in him and get rid of his memory switch. Now, it may not directly tie in with the picture, but it seems to kinda go along with the theme and thought it might be a good idea to throw out there. So, what do you think? Does it sound suspicious or not?

Yeah, the entire episode 22 seemed increadably pointless to me. Really, I wish the Ninja had gone back to Ninjago on the back of the Leviathan (BTW, it struck me as weird that LEGO would use that name!) instead of on their dragon… oh well. But if Zane’s father plays a bigger part later, then it would make more sense. As far as that conversation, yeah, it does seem strange that LEGO would just through that out there. Who knows?

It’s just pure coincidence that his hair curves like that; it’s not even dark brown; it’s very close to a golden color, it’s certainly not the color of his hair; LEGO had made plenty of misprints before, but I would think they would be more careful on a poster like this! If it his his hair, what in the world is the thing underneath?
The Lego Company officially said that there would be no more Lego Ninjago and that it would be replaced with Lego Chima. So this poster might be a fake and was just made for fun and so Ninjago would be more popular.
