Recently I found a LEGO reviews YouTube Channel I really liked and thought to share with you. The channel’s name is LEGOJANG and is run by a San Francisco based Internet User Interface Designer and LEGO hobbyist. Most of Jang’s reviews are of LEGO Hero Factory and LEGO Bionicle sets, and he also shares his own improved versions of the characters, which are particularly interesting. Jang has been also branching out to reviewing other LEGO sets (recently from the new LEGO Castle, LEGO Legends of Chima and LEGO Galaxy Squad lines).
What I really like about Jang’s LEGO reviews is the tasteful presentation, clean and distraction-free background, gentle voice, and solid filming and video-editing. I also appreciate his detailed analysis of each set from the design and building perspective through the eyes of an adult LEGO fan. Below I will show you some of Jang’s reviews, and will also give you links to where you can find the rest.
➡ LEGO LEGENDS OF CHIMA ULTRABUILDS REVIEWS: these include reviews of all the recently released LEGO Legends of Chima large action figures and combination models.
➡ LEGO HERO FACTORY REVIEWS: these include reviews of all the LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack sets and combination models.
➡ LEGO GALAXY SQUAD REVIEWS: these include reviews of all the LEGO Galaxy Squad sets from wave one, and some from wave two.
These are just some samples of Jang’s LEGO reviews. There are a lot more. I won’t upload any more video-reviews here as it would make the page difficult to load, but you can check out all of Jang’s reviews and LEGO creations at LEGOJANG’s YouTube Channel. You can also visit his LEGO blog here, and his LEGO Facebook Page here.
So what do you think? How did you like Jang’s LEGO reviews? Also, any other LEGO reviewers that you really like? At some point I’m planning to put together a best LEGO YouTube reviewers page, so if you have a favorite channel feel free to share it in the comment section below! 😉
Yes, these reviews were great! 🙂 I’ll have to get that GS Mech!
Oh yeah, try playing them all at the same time. 😆
gee… I missed a lot on my vacation…. but I like the set kind of stuff… LIKE NINJAGO!
Yep, that Eradicator Mech looks like the best Galaxy Squad set so far. Loads of playability! I have the Warp Stinger and Star Slicer, which are pretty fun, but the builds are pretty stagnant in comparison. Imaginatiion brings them to life, but there doesn’t seem to be as much to DO with them as the new Orange Team mech.
Gabriel, yes, the Mech looks great! I haven’t bougth it yet, but planning to. I own the Bug Obliterator from the first wave (also Orange Team), which I absolutely love, so I’m happy that my team is getting another awesome set. I also made an orange version of the Vermin Vaporizer (well, to be exact it is a mix of the Vermin Vaporizer Mech and a second assault vehicle from the Bug Oblitarator). Lots of fun! 😀
I’m still excited about that last post, but out of all of these on this post the GS is the best. not the cima 🙁
oh wow if you go to his other vids about the new lego castle!!!
Yeah, those are really nice reviews! And great sets! 🙂
oh sweet! I am so checking those out! 😀
Check out my contest to win a free Lego set!

sponge bob? 😐
Yeah, I don’t think I really want to win that set. 😐
I think Sponge Bob is pretty cool, but I don’t like the tactics of bribing readers to advertise through a contest.
Cool reviews. 😎
I have been an avid fan of LEGOJANG since about the time Hero Factory Breakout Wave 1 was released (around the end of 2011). Everything you stated that you liked about him in your article is exactly why I like it. He also throws in comments about how a particular feature may be difficult for children, which I really respect him for. And he is always promoting creativity in building your own sets.
Gabriel, thanks for mentioning that. I have only recently run across LAGOJANG’s channel while looking for some Hero Factory reviews. I instantly liked him and he is now one of my favorite reviewers. And I really like his Hero Factory MOCs! In fact he made me interested in Hero Factory quite a bit! 😀
I’ve been subscribing to him since Savage Planet. Oh yeah, also, LEGOJANG is another channel with the word LEGO in it…
Yeah, I thought you would know about him. As far as the name, his is a bit more safe as LEGO is part of his name. Kind of like Legolas. 🙄
The idea is that LEGO doesn’t like when a website, blog, etc. uses LEGO in the name and it could be mistaken for the real LEGO website. There is a website I have seen recently where all the Cease and Desist orders LEGO’s legal department sends out to blogs and websites were listed because of the name issue. It is in the thousands. Again; I’m not sure how strict they are with YouTube channels, but personally I would like to be on the safe side. 😉
To be fair, I think the company is only protective of the name, though…
I don’t think I’ve ever heard any complaints from the company about anyone using the product in a controversial manner. Might probably be a lot of badwill for a product meant to foster creativity, if someone would be punished for being creative…
Hakan, I have been discussing with Fikko his choice for his new YouTube Channel name, which is LEGO Video Depot. I was mentioning to him that it might not be a good idea, but I really don’t know what is LEGO’s stance on YouTube Channel names. All I know is that they definitely go after websites and blogs using LEGO in their name, so I thought it would be better to be on the safe side. One thing is to have one video in violation – you would get a notice to please take it down, but if your entire channel gets shuts down due to some violation all your hard work is gone. 😕
Oh yeah! I love Jang’s reviews and have watched nearly all of them. Like said, he is a great reviewer and a great builder as well.
I guess im not the only one who knows Jang around here now? Well I have been watching him since forever.
