➡ LEGO MINECRAFT VIP EARLY ACCESS: LEGO VIP members will get early access to the humongous #21137 LEGO Minecraft The Mountain Cave set, starting on the 15th of June. Regular release will be on the 1st of July. You can already check out the details of the set under the LEGO Minecraft section of the Online LEGO Shop.
As you can see, there are plenty of new sets to choose from, no matter what is your interest or budget. If you are planning to get the #21309 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V, I would suggest you do so right away, as LEGO Ideas sets are limited release. The other sets should be available all summer long, so you can spread out your purchases, especially since the free promotional items are not so exciting this month.
What do you think? Are you excited about all the new LEGO sets this summer? Do you have any favorite sets you are planning to add to your collection? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I don’t see too much interesting, but I do like the Jungle sets. The McLaren 720s also just appeared as available now today; I’m pretty sure it wasn’t on the shop before. Too bad the Jungle Air Drop Helicopter didn’t do the same, as that’s on of the more interesting Jungle sets IMO.
Oh, good to see the McLaren! I was wondering if it will shop up! The Air Drop Helicopter may be a limited release. I’m not sure…
Yeah, too little Jungle in the Jungle sets, and too much Vehicles…
You can always make the jungle bigger! 😀
Unable to find 75191 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive on Lego’s website. Sure hope it is available soon!
I spoke too soon. It just showed up…back to placing an order
Greg, glad to hear you found it! The website has been acting funky since midnight due to the influx of traffic. 😀
Just finished building two of the smaller Jungle sets but, before got them I built a jungle from scratch ( I have the parts,so why not.) I even put in traps and a native. The native( actually an islander from one of the mini fig series). I have ( from the first hospital set ) the base plate . It gray and has levels to make layers for my jungle . I used green plates and blue plates to make the water and the ground . Then I just went crazy with the green foliage and made it look like it was covering an ancient ruins. It was fun . The traps are two boulders falling down ( yes, I had Indiana Jones in mind. ) a spear coming out of a wall and of course dangerous wild life.
Can I go over and play? It sounds like your jungle is awesome! 😀
Oh, I did add the jungle themes ( that came with the sets) . It just makes that much better.
Dunno if you saw this, but PFx Bricks just relaunched their Kickstarter campaign with IMO much better pricing tiers as well as a far lower goal than last time – https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fxbricks/pfx-brick-special-fx-for-lego-creations/description
I’m excited for this one to happen this time, since having a motor control / lighting / sound package all in one brick seems perfect to me.
Oh, cool! That does look much better! I’m glad they are still working on this. I hope they reach their goal. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I tried to get the Saturn V, but it’s already backordered! 🙁
It has been backordered from shortly after midnight. Don’t worry, you will still get it. Just make sure your order goes though. I also ordered mine this morning. 🙂
The STAR WARS summer wave is a hit and miss for me ( just like the last wave). But, lucky for me the ones I want are the cheaper sets. I break down and start getting the LEGO Batman movie sets ( I know , I said I wouldn’t . It’s starting to warm up to me.) Everything seems so tempting ( creator sets, Marvel sets and the rest of the city sets) I am broke before I finish looking at the summer LEGO catalog.
Yeah, I know what you mean! I got my Summer Catalog a couple of days ago, and I have been earmarking so many pages! I’m restricting myself though to the Saturn V, and a couple of smaller City and Creator sets. I’m saving the rest of my money for the Ninjago sets later this summer. 😀
I should also add that the Ultimate Batmobile is really excellent. I was watching JANGBRiCKS’ review on it the other day, and it splits and transforms in so many ways! It is basically the Batman version of Benny’s Spaceship. 😀
I agree, however my love for Benny’s spaceship is much deeper than the Batmobile. ( it’s up there),
Oh, yes, absolutely! Benny’s Spaceship is my favorite set too. I was only comparing them because of the size and the functions, and because both came out in the second wave of their respective titles. I hope Batman doesn’t hear us though because he will be offended. 🙄
I wouldn’t worry , Unikitty has Benny’s back.LOL!………I was thinking , Johnny Thunder should of been in the jungle theme ( maybe to re- introduce that character). I mean LEGO is constantly repeating things . Why not bring back Johnny Thunder?
I’m not going to argue that. I agree that Johnny Thunder should be back! 😀
I logged onto the NZ Lego shop 5 mins after midnight on June 1st and got my order in for 2 of the new Saturn V sets. Just as well as I checked a couple of hours later and it was on back order then already! Can’t wait for it to arrive. I am going to build one and keep the second one locked away for the future, now I really want the space shuttle but as it’s retired it’s damn near impossible to find at a decent price……”Lego, what else!”
Gary, I’m glad to hear you were able to get the Saturn V! I also got one, but not until this morning (as the website was acting up really badly last night), so mine is backordered, but hope it will be here soon! Sounds like you are going to build yours before I can, so feel free to share your thoughts and review! Happy building! 🙂
I am excited for the jungle sets for my son for his birthday and Christmas, he is going to absolutely love them. My daughter has been saving all her money for the Friends hospital, and I am looking forward to the Friends winter sets to add to my winter village. Speaking of these, it seems they have been forgotten about in the list above…
The Jungle sets are definitely awesome, and so is the Friend’s hospital. The Friends Winter sets won’t be available in the US until later this year, but I do remember reading they are available in the UK?
It seems the Snow Resort theme is available on the UK and EU markets.
https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Friends/subtheme-Snow-Resort
Oh, yes! Thanks for confirming!
Aah, sorry, I didn’t realise they would be available later in the US. They are already on the shelves here in Oz (just in the last few days). Actually we usually get everything at least a month later than the rest of the world, or at least we used to, things seem to be arriving a bit earlier this year. It makes sense anyway to release the winter themed sets closer to winter – here of course winter has just arrived!!
Yes, it is summer here, so it makes a lot of sense to wait. Plus, we got so many new sets, it is a good idea to spread them out a bit, otherwise we won’t be able to keep up. I’m sure the Friends Winter sets will be very popular for Christmas! 😀
It’s summer in Europe too, though…
(Although the weather might not be much warmer in northern Sweden…)
You guys actually have a summer over there? 😀
In the south! 😉
The most interesting part of the seasons are actually the differences of daylight hours. Here in Stockholm the daylight lasts about 18 hours during summer, and about 6 hours during winter, with gradual shifts throughout the year. Further up north, the differences are more extremely pronounced.
I always thought that was so amazing! I don’t think I could live in a place with long nights like that, because I get all depressed if I don’t get my daily dose of sunshine. You guys are some hardy bunch! 😀
I get rather slow during wintertime, to be honest…
Is it just me , or are their more waves coming out in past couple of years or is theirs been a lot of sets when the themes do come out ? My goal this weekend is to get the jungle half track mission set. After that I ‘ll be saving up for ……I don’t know yet? I am just happy with the jungle right now. I’ve been debating about the jungle exploration set but, if I just get the smaller/ medium sets I think I’ll be good with this theme( considering I just made my headquarters). I also combined my dinosaur theme and my volcano theme together with the jungle theme. The cargo terminal might be next to add and have just have the cargo helicopters and planes ( for there supply’s ).
I started to really pay attention to new releases and release dates in 2011 (when I started this blog), and the pattern has been the same every year for new releases and number of sets released. What did change however is the number of large and expensive sets that appeal to AFOLs, so it just feels like more, because it directly effects our wallet. 🙄
You combined the dinosaur, volcano and jungle themes???!!! That’s like a kids’ heaven right there! Okay, I admit I’m jealous as an adult too! 😀
I don’t fully understand you, but I think the number of sets released each year have been constantly increasing for the last years. Lego is on a roll.
Being an adult is overrated.lol . Yeah, this hobby is becoming a lot more expensive , but, I discovered two things . One, if you already have a lot of sets / themes from collecting for a long time , you can be selective on certain sets. Two, if buy the sets that are $60/ $50 dollars and stay in that range you still get a lot but paid about the same than if you just buy one expensive set, but, if you buy the $60/$50 sets you wind up with more pieces sometimes. ( if it’s a theme ) . At least that works for me.
I agree that the mid-priced sets are consistently excellent quality, and could be a better deal then the larger sets. It is definitely worth comparing them. That’s why I like the Shopping Catalog, because I can look over all the little details in each set while eating dinner. 😀
Any idea what the new set will be on the 15th?
Paula, it’s in the article above; the new Minecraft Mountain Cave. 🙂
