Below, we will take a look at all the new sets, including the exciting LEGO Hidden Side theme, which introduces a new way of combining real world and virtual play. There are also some new promotions for the month, which we will talk about as well.

All of these promotions are available both at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO CREATOR HARLEY-DAVIDSON AVAILABLE: The #10269 LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fat Boy is now available for everyone, not just LEGO VIP members. LEGO IDEAS TREEHOUSE AVAILABLE: The beautiful #21318 LEGO Ideas Treehouse is also now available for everyone, not just LEGO VIP members. We reviewed this set in details here: LEGO Ideas Treehouse Review & Thoughts. To see more details and to purchase it, visit the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO ARCHITECTURE SUMMER SETS: There are two new LEGO Architecture sets; the #21045 LEGO Architecture Trafalgar Gate, and the #21046 LEGO Architecture Empire State Building. Both are substantially large sets with intricate details. They are available at the LEGO Architecture section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO CITY SUMMER SETS: LEGO City got a few new sets (after a big release with all the LEGO City Space Exploration sets last month). The most noteworthy are the #60234 LEGO City Fun Fair People Pack with fourteen minifigures and a large selection of accessories. And the #60233 LEGO City Donut Shop Opening set features a delightful donut shop, a toy shop, several vehicles, and lots of accessories. See the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO CREATOR 3-IN-1 SUMMER SETS: There are a couple of excellent new LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets as well. The UFO-themed #31095 LEGO Creator Fairground Carousel can be transformed into a free fall ride or a Ferris wheel. And the large and colorful #31097 LEGO Creator Townhouse Pet Shop and Café can be rebuilt into a multi-story bank or market street with tram. Find both at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO DC SUPER HEROES SUMMER SETS: The new Batman sets include the #76119 LEGO Batman Batmobile Pursuit of The Joker, the #76120 LEGO Batman Batwing and The Riddler Heist, and the large #76122 LEGO Batman Batcave Clayface Invasion. There are also a couple of Batman sets for younger Builders; the #76137 LEGO Batman vs. The Riddler Robbery, and the #76138 LEGO Batman and The Joker Escape. You can find them all at the LEGO DC Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO FRIENDS SUMMER SETS: The new LEGO Friends sets are centered around ocean exploration. They have an absolutely delightful color-scheme, and a large selection of new pieces, including sea creatures and corals! Some of the most notable sets are the #41375 LEGO Friends Heartlake City Amusement Pier, the #41378 LEGO Friends Dolphins Rescue Mission, the #41380 LEGO Friends Lighthouse Rescue Center, and the #41381 LEGO Friends Rescue Mission Boat. Another great set is the lovely, Italian style #41379 LEGO Friends Heartlake City Restaurant. There are many other new sets as well, including a new selection of LEGO Friends Heart Boxes. Visit the LEGO Friends section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO HARRY POTTER SUMMER SETS: We got two new Harry Potter sets this summer; the #75965 LEGO Harry Potter The Rise of Voldemort, and the #75958 LEGO Harry Potter Beauxbaton’s Carriage: Arrive at Hogwarts. The carriage is an especially interesting set. Find them at the LEGO Harry Potter section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO HIDDEN SIDE SETS: This is a brand new theme for the year we first heard about during the New York Toy Fair. LEGO Hidden Side is an augmented reality-enhanced LEGO play theme where kids must turn a haunted world back to normal, one ghost at a time. The sets include some really well designed new characters and locations, and they work with the LEGO Hidden Side app that can be downloaded at the Apple App store or the Google Play store. There is a haunted high school, a ghost train, a school bus decked out to intercept paranormal activity, a graveyard, a wrecked shrimp boat, a ghost lab, and more! I highly recommend checking out this theme, as they have so many interesting features. Visit the LEGO Hidden Side section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO JURASSIC WORLD SUMMER SETS: Three more LEGO Jurassic World sets were just released; the #75935 LEGO Jurassic World Baryonyx Face-Off: Treasure Hunt, the #75937 LEGO Jurassic World Triceratops Rampage, and the #75938 LEGO Jurassic World T. Rex vs. Dino-Mech Battle. All three are great looking sets, so make sure you check them out at the LEGO Jurassic World section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO MINECRAFT SUMMER SETS: Minecraft got two new sets; the #21154 LEGO Minecraft The Blaze Bridge, and the #21155 LEGO Minecraft The Creeper Mine with a giant Creeper statue. See them at the LEGO Minecraft section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO MOVIE 2 SUMMER SETS: The LEGO Movie 2 only gets one new set this time around, but it’s a good one; the #70847 LEGO Movie 2 Good Morning Sparkle Babies! with Emmet, Lucy, two adorable baby figures in cute outfits, and a bit of scenery. Find it at The LEGO Movie 2 section of the Online LEGO Shop.

2019 LEGO NINJAGO SUMMER SETS: LEGO Ninjago fans can enjoy eleven new sets. The three largest ones are the #70676 LEGO Ninjago Lloyd’s Titan Mech, the #70677 LEGO Ninjago Land Bounty, and the #70678 LEGO Ninjago Castle of the Forsaken Emperor. We also got some smaller sets, as well as a whole new collection of spinners. Find them all at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

➡ 2019 LEGO TECHNIC SUMMER SETS: There are two new LEGO Technic sets. The #42097 LEGO Technic Compact Crawler Crane features extendable outriggers that move both laterally and vertically, an extendable boom, a hoist with extensive cabling and safety lock, 180°-rotating superstructure, and rugged crawler tracks. The set can be rebuilt into a compact tower crane as an alternate model. The second set is the #42098 LEGO Technic Car Transporter. It may not be clear on the pictures, but this set is huge! It measures 8” (22cm) high, 33” (86cm) long and 5” (13cm) wide. That’s almost three feet long! The alternate model is a truck and show cars. It’s also worth noting that the blue car in the main model is the same scale as the orange #42093 LEGO Technic Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. If you get the car transporter, I would recommend getting this set as an add-on. You an find them at the LEGO Technic section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Some other recently released sets you might consider are the #75936 LEGO Jurassic Park: T. Rex Rampage set, the #75253 LEGO Star Wars Droid Commander set, the #80103 LEGO Chinese New Year Dragon Boat Race set, the #10265 LEGO Creator Ford Mustang, and the whole new LEGO City Space Exploration collection. You can find them all at the New tab of the Online LEGO Shop.

What happened to the Leibher excavator announced in London, January of this year?

    • admin August 1, 2019, 1:14 PM

Not sure. It supposed to be released today, so my guess is that it will be coming soon.

UPDATE: Release was pushed back to October due to some production issues. My guess the issues are with the new Control+ system, but that’s just my guess.

    • BigShawn August 1, 2019, 1:24 PM

What about the olive green Land Rover? Isn’t that supposed to be released too?

      • brickmaster August 1, 2019, 2:11 PM

I think that set is scheduled for September. It was leaked a while ago, but the pictures have been taken down.

        • Håkan August 1, 2019, 10:09 PM

If I recall correctly, the set was leaked even before the real car had been revealed, so it was doubly embarrassing…

          • admin August 2, 2019, 10:42 PM

Yes, that’s what I heard as well. I’m sure the Land Rover guys weren’t happy…

        • admin August 2, 2019, 10:46 PM

Yes, September is what I heard as well.

Oh, man, so many great sets. I’m very curious about Hidden Side, the Jurassic sets look great (especially the mech), creator sets, city, even friends. I should probably just send my paycheck to Lego directly at this point.

    • Daria Parker August 1, 2019, 4:25 PM

      Me too 😫

    • admin August 2, 2019, 10:46 PM

Ha-ha! Me too! Is that a good thing or bad? It’s good, right? RIGHT?! 🙄

  • Legostuff14 August 1, 2019, 3:14 PM

Oh, yes. My mom ordered a few hidden side sets and the donut Shop grand opening set( I think ) it’s for my birthday .( shhh) I’m not supposed to know. Lol! She did have trouble with getting my VIP points and to use them. My mom wasn’t happy about it and called customer service to complain. I’m getting a free hidden side set because of the glitch in the system. A Jedi mind trick works great on the weak-minded. Lol!

    • admin August 2, 2019, 10:45 PM

Ha-ha! Not a bad deal after all. The new VIP system is going to take a long time to get used to. I know their customer service is flowed with complaints. They are also getting a lot of flack on social media. Hopefully they will be able to iron out the kinks soon.

  • Legostuff14 August 1, 2019, 3:39 PM

Actually I take that back. Lego did try and fix the problem the best they can. So, thank you lego. I guess they had a lot of unhappy customers on the lines today.

  • TomTom August 1, 2019, 4:24 PM

Just FYI. You didn’t mention the new Technic off-roader. I know it was released a little earlier, but it’s technically (see the pun?) a new set.

    • admin August 2, 2019, 10:43 PM

Yes, that’s correct. It’s another Technic set that was recently released. A good one too! 😀

  • Treasure Hunter August 1, 2019, 4:28 PM

OMG I love everything, pretty much! So I’m going to need over time & weekends to afford it all. 😫😫😫😫😫😫

  • waverider August 1, 2019, 5:04 PM

Yes, please! Hidden Side! I’m so looking forward to these sets and very curious to see how the virtual reality aspect works. Previous lego virtual reality sets didn’t work very well. Dimensions was pretty good, but there was not much interaction.

    • Håkan August 1, 2019, 10:10 PM

Seems like the app was programmed to work with certain monochrome fields, so there were several monochrome tiles included in the sets to interact with the app.

  • Hayato August 2, 2019, 10:20 AM

Hidden side sets for us as well. The kids are fascinated by them. It’s not that the other sets are not good, but we have to stick to a budget. I think the Friends sets look amazing.

  • Legostuff14 August 2, 2019, 7:15 PM

Just picked up the people pack- fun fair set. I couldn’t resist it’s so cool. I’m planning to save for 3 in 1 UFO carnival ride set to go with the fun fair set.

    • admin August 2, 2019, 10:41 PM

Those age good choices! I like the UFO ride too. It’s pretty neat! 😀
