The latest in the LEGO Creator Expert vehicles collection is the recently released #10269 LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. As it was mentioned in the press-release (see: LEGO Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Coming!), the set was developed in close collaboration with Harley-Davidson, recreating many of the features and details of the real bike, like the solid-disc wheels, teardrop fuel tank, integrated speedometer, and dual exhaust pipes.
The set became available for LEGO VIP members mid-July at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop and can now be enjoyed by everyone. If you have a LEGO store near you, they should have a built version on display. Some LEGO stores even had fun with the set, and displayed it with the #76105 LEGO Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition riding the bike (photo by Zayzon).
And Hulkbuster is not the only one who can enjoy a ride on the LEGO Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. It turns out that the large LEGO Constraction figures are also a pretty good fit. Take a look at Vader below! Unfortunately, the LEGO Constraction figures have been retired, but you may be able to find them at local retailers or definitely online (photo by IamTheDarkAgent).
So, even though the LEGO Creator Harley-Davidson Fat Boy is mainly meant to be a display model, you can have a bit of fun with it if you have some of the large brick-built figures. In the video-review below, JANGBRiCKS will show you some of the main features of the set, so you can get a closer look. And I have also included the build videos, so you can see how the set comes together.
And here is the official description of the set: Build and display your own Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle! Explore the finer details of iconic engineering with the #10269 LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle. Developed in partnership with Harley-Davidson, this highly detailed LEGO motorcycle captures the magic of the real-life machine, from its solid-disc Lakester wheels with beefy tires to its teardrop fuel tank with printed logos and inbuilt speedometer. Other features include a Milwaukee-Eight engine with moving pistons, dual exhaust pipes, handlebar steering, moveable gearshift pedal and brake levers, kickstand and a sturdy display stand. Finished with a dark-red and black color scheme, this amazing display model makes a truly iconic centerpiece for the home or office. I didn’t know I needed this set until I saw the Hulkbuster sitting on it! Ha-ha!
The Hulkbuster looks comfy. Now I want both sets! Great job lego marketing. 😀
So, there’s a Fat Boy… on a Fat Boy…
Yeah, basically! 😀
Okay, I gotta do this. It didn’t even occur to me that they might fit on the bike! LOL! This is how Lego should advertise the larger vehicles.
I want to see Boba Fett on the Harley! I think he would look cool! 😀
LOL. I’m going to have to do this. I noticed that’s the taller Vader. I wonder if the regular figures would work.
JANG mentioned that he had to adjust (widen) the hips) some. So my guess is that’s all that’s needed.
I didn’t care for this motorcycle until I saw this. I wonder if they did this on purpose or it’s just a coincidence.
My understanding is that it’s just a coincidence. One of those happy little accidents Bob Ross talks about. 😀
LOL! I need this in my life! I wonder if the bigfigs would also fit the other Creator vehicles. Did anyone try?
The Creator vehicles are not to scale with each other, but I’m pretty sure none of them would fit the Constraction figures. The Harley is an even larger scale compared to the cars, and all the rider needs to do is to sit on top (instead of having to fit inside).
The Hulkbuster appears fairly natural, but even Darth Vader looks a tad too small to fit the scale.
