Eurobricks Collectible Minifigs Contest!

Like the collectible minifigures? Would you like to win some from the recent series (LEGO Minifigures Series 5)? Well, here is a nice little LEGO contest just for you! 😛

Eurobricks started the tradition of running a sweet little contest for each series of the collectible minifigures. These have been highly anticipated and really fun contests, so if you missed out before you might want to give it a try this time! 😉

THE CHALLENGE: There are two categories to choose from:

  • Category A – Build a Vignette – Build an 8×8 vignette from any theme where you could display any of the 16 new Collectible Minifigures Series 5. It can be Town, Medieval or even Space. As long you are able to relate the chosen theme and minifigures to your audience, then you are on the right track.
  • Category B – Build a Movie Scene– Build an 16×16 vignette from any known selected movie theme where you could display an actual interacting movie scene of your selected minifigure from the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 5 and any selected existing minifigures from the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 1 to 4.

THE DEADLINE: November 14th, so you have a whole month to come up with something!

THE PRIZES: In both Category A and Category B the 1st place winner will receive 6 minifigs from Collectible Minifigs Series 5, the 2nd place winner will receive 4 minifigs, the 3rd place winner 3 minifigs, the 4th place winner 2 minifigs, and the 5th place winner 1 minifig. (The 1st place winner chooses whichever 6 they want from the series, then the 2nd place winner will choose from the remaining, etc.)

THE RULES: There is a whole set of rules for both Category A and Category B – I won’t need to repeat here – that will make it clearer of what can and cannot be entered. See here: Collectible Minifigs Contest Rules.

Eurobricks Minifig Customization Contest!

This fall is full of exciting LEGO contests! Plenty to choose from to challenge yourself and win great prizes! Check out this one! If you are into minifig customization you will love it! 😛

Eurobricks’ staff in co-operation with LEGO customizers BrickArms, BrickForge and BrickWarriors is proud to announce the Minifig Customization Workshop Contest 2011!

THE CHALLENGE: Create a custom minifigure in any of the three categories listed below. Your custom figure must be showcased in an 8×8 vignette, showing how it blends into the LEGO word. It must also have a background story, and a note on what inspired you in making that particular custom. There are other rules as well; you can read them at the Contest Announcement Page. Here are the three categories:

  1. GlobetrottersCreate a custom minifigure representing an existing Country/Nation. It can be based on anything related to that Country/Nation, as long as it is not offensive.
  2. Alien NationCreate a custom alien minifigure. It must be a new and personal concept.
  3. Tournament ChampionCreate a custom medieval tournament champion minifigure (see the new LEGO 10223 Kingdoms Joust for examples of what a tournament champion should look like).

THE PRIZES: There will be 3 prizes per category offered by BrickForge for Category 1, by BrickArms for Category 2 and by BrickWarriors for Category 3.

Minifig customization is one of my favorite activities in the LEGO hobby, so I’m definitely looking forward to see the entries at this contest! Here is one of the first entries to the Category 3. (Click on the picture for more views.) Amazing, huh? 😉
