While we are waiting for further episodes of LEGO NINJAGO: Rise of the Snakes, I thought to summarize what we know so far about the NINJAGO storyline. Yes, there are rumors that the Green Ninja is Lloyd Garmadon, and while there is compelling evidence to support this, the fact remains that we won’t know for sure until Episode 10. And since Sensei Wu warned us about the destructive power of rumors, let’s just stick to the facts we know so far from the first 5 episodes. So here we go:
➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 1: RISE OF THE SNAKES
In the first episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes we find Sensei Wu trying to motivate his four students (Kai, Jay, Zane and Cole) to continue training even at the time of peace, as there is the possibility of the return of Lord Garmadon (Sensei Wu’s evil older brother) to get the four weapons of Spinjitsu. However the four ninja prefer to spend their days playing video games. Shortly after, they get news that Lord Garmadon has been spotted in a nearby village. The four ninja leave to face Lord Garmadon, only to find that the intruder is actually Garmadon’s son, Lloyd – a small boy, who escaped from the boarding school for bad boys, and is now creating trouble around the village by stealing all the candy. The four ninja easily run him out of town, and Lloyd promises revenge. As the ninja prepare to return home they discover that Kai has accidentally taken Sensei Wu’s bag, containing a scroll that tells of a prophecy; one ninja will rise above the others and become the Green Ninja, who is destined to defeat the Dark Lord. The four ninja all believe that one of them is going to be the Green Ninja, and decide to hold a tournament to find out who is the best amongst them. In the process they almost burn down the monastery. Sensei Wu scolds his pupils about their foolishness. Meanwhile, as Lloyd wonders around fuming over his defeat, he uncovers one of the tombs of the Serpentine, the ancient snake-people locked away long ago. After accidentally hypnotizing the Hypnobrai leader (blue/gray snakes), Lloyd takes command of the snakes, and wreaks havoc in the same village by having the snakes hypnotize all the villagers. The four ninja rush to the village and defeat the Hypnobrai, then use the anti-venom found in their staff to cure the villagers. The four ninja promise to train hard for the troubling times lying ahead caused by the release of the Serpentine.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 2: HOME
In the second episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes we find the ninja in their daily life at the monastery. It is revealed that Zane is an orphan and he never knew his parents. In the meantime at the Forest of Tranquility, Lloyd instructs the Hypnobrai to create a fortress for him to rule Ninjago. Some of the snakes however are not happy about serving the silly orders of a small boy and conspire against their leader, who has been hypnotized by Lloyd. Later that night, when Zane takes out the trash, he notices a falcon that mimics his every move. As the falcon flies away Zane decides follow. The falcon leads Zane to Lloyd’s tree-house. The following day Zane comes back with the other ninja to destroy Lloyd’s fortress. Things go a bit awry though when one of the snake-people hypnotizes Cole, causing him to attack the other ninja. However Sensei Wu comes to the rescue with a magic flute that breaks the spell. After destroying the fort, they all return to the monastery only to find it burnt to the ground by the snake-people. Zane follows the falcon again, which leads him to an abandoned ship that will become our heroes’ new home. Meanwhile, at the Hypnobrai tomb, one of the snakes, challenges the current leader of the tribe to fight for command of the tribe, and he wins. The new leader banishes Lloyd, demanding he never returns. Lloyd leaves, but he also takes with him a map he found at the tomb with the location of the other snake-tribes.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 3: SNAKEBIT
In the third episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes Lloyd uses the stolen map to find the Fangpyre snake-tribe’s (red/white snakes) tomb, where he offers an alliance to get revenge on both the Hypnobrai and the ninja. The tribe’s general agrees, but first he wants to build up his army by using the special ability of the members of his tribe; they can transform anything they bite into snakes. Meanwhile, Jay’s parents pay a visit to the ninja headquarters and ask Jay to visit them soon. Jay’s parents run a junkyard, and when they get home they get assaulted by the Fangpyre. Jay’s parents get bitten by the Serpentine and begin their transformation into snakes! In addition the snakes also bite into the old vehicles in the junkyard, turning them into snake-mobiles. The following day Jay keeps his promise and visits his parents, along with the other ninja, Sensei Wu, and Nya. When they arrive, they find Jay’s parents captive turning more and more into snakes! The Fangpyre fight the ninja, who are finally able to rescue Jay’s parents. Sensei Wu explains that only to change Jay’s parents back is to get the anti-venom from the snake-staff the Fangpyre leader carries. However the Fangpyre (along with Lloyd) begin to retreat, carrying the staff with them. After discovering their weapons have the ability to transform into vehicles, Jay uses his plane to steal the snake-staff. The four ninja, Sensei Wu, Nya, and Jay’s parents quickly return to their headquarters and administer the anti-venom to Jay’s parents. In the meantime however the Fangpyre catch up with them, ready to attack and retrieve the snake-staff. Jay’s father is able to repair the defense system on the ship just in time for a quick escape.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 4: NEVER TRUST A SNAKE
In the fourth episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes Zane has a dream about the Green Ninja fighting Lord Garmadon and tells the other ninja about it during their training. Sensei Wu, seeing their distraction, gives the ninja a riddle to solve: “What is the best way to defeat an enemy?” Meanwhile Lloyd and the Fangpyre prepare to attack the Hypnobrai (the Serpentine who betrayed Lloyd in the first episode). However, it turns out that the leaders of the two tribes are actually friends and they betray Lloyd. Lloyd then finds the tomb of the Anacondrai (purple snake), the third snake-tribe. Pythor is the last surviving member of his tribe (there is an indication that he devoured them all). The two of them become friends and create havoc around Ninjago. They also take over Lloyd’s boarding school that kicked him out previously. The four ninja arrive to stop their mischief. As Pythor and Lloyd get cornered on the roof of the school-building, Pythor betrays Lloyd and also steals his map before disappearing. The ninja capture Lloyds and take him back to their headquarters, discussing what kind of punishment they should bestow upon him. However instead of punishing the boy, Sensei Wu reads him a bedtime story about why snakes should never be trusted. The ninja are confused about Sensei Wu’s leniency. Sensei Wu finally reveals the answer to his previous riddle: “The best way to defeat and enemy is to make them your friend”.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 5: CAN OF WORMS
In the fifth episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes Lloyd Garmadon plays tricks on the ninja – by the order of Sensei Wu – to teach them about the destructive power of rumors. One of Lloyd’s tricks is to mix up Zane’s (the white ninja) laundry with Kai’s (the red ninja), which makes Zane’s ninja suit turn pink! poor Zane! (But interestingly, later in the story being pink is what saves Zane, and ultimately the other ninja.) They then split up into two teams – Kai with Jay and Zane with Cole – to locate the last two Serpentine tombs before Pythor can find them and unite the snake tribes. However they are two late and Cole and Zane get attacked by a member of the Constrictai tribe (black/orange snakes). They escape however and hurry to help Kai and Jay who had been attacked by Pythor and the Venomari tribe (green snakes). The four ninjas get overpowered by the snakes, however at the last minute a mysterious samurai saves them (who is Nya in disguise). The ninja then head over to Ninjago city to stop the tribes uniting. They use the power of rumors to their advantage and to stop the tribes from forming a truce, but eventually they get captured, except Zane. Zane then frees the others and they manage to escape, leaving Serpentine in disarray.

Pythor declares himself to be the destined leader who will reawaken The Great Devourer – an ancient beast who can’t be killed and will consume all of Ninjago.

When the four ninja follow the mysterious falcon into the woods, they stumble on a hidden work shop where Zane learns the secret about his past and in the process, he is the first ninja to unlock his true potential.

Jay and Nya have to cut their first date in Mega-Monster Amusement Park short as the Serpentine are on their way to retrieve the first or four fang blades to be used to awaken the Great Devourer.

- How does Lord Garmadon fits into this whole story? So far we have only seen him in Zane’s dream. 😕
- Who is the falcon who keeps helping Zane? And will he ever find out about his family?

I was wondering if you can make still shots of Jay’s parents’ car from various angles? I’d love to try to make a MOC of it. I wish LEGO had made that into a set with his parents because they are so cool and the car is awesome. I’m going to try to make my best approximation of his parents, so front and back shots of them would be great too.
Sarah, yep, the car Jay’s parents drive is pretty awesome! Would love to see it in LEGO form! What I would suggest is to stop the video when the car shows up in different angles and just take screen shots. Actually, even better; make the video full page and take the screen shots then! If you are nto familiar with taking screen shots just let me know and I show you! 😉
I think episode six will contain Lord Garmadon. Since Pythore failed to unite the snakes, they’ll probably want a new leader. That’s where Lord Garmadon will come in. He’ll probably be transformed into Four-Arm Snake King Garmadon by the staffs, but this is just a guess. Either way, Lord Garmadon will definitely want to get in on the action. “I want more booby-traps!!!” Lloyd Garmadon.

You can’t. It is released on Cartoon Network one episode at a time (one per week). After all episodes are released (there are 13 episodes, so probably sometime in April), we should be able to watch all the episodes on LEGO’s website.

Ste, that is a good question. There are only two times when the great devourer is mentioned; when Zane is reading the pictures on the cave-wall, and when the ninjas are talking about it over dinner. But they have no idea, so we don’t know it either until they get further down the story. Maybe Sensei Wu would knows something, but he didn’t mention it. Maybe it is best for the ninjas not to hear it at this point. 😡

Um….guys? We’ve kind of already seen the great devourer. It’s the Giant Anaconda in the Epic Dragon Battle set that Lord Garmadon is ridding on the head of. Also I noticed how on some other sites people list the snake tribes from favorite to least favorite. Here’s my list: 1.Venomari (pure evil and venomous), 2. Constrictai (they create earthquakes by burrowing underground like massive worms), 3. Anacondro (Pythor is pretty cool), 4. Hypnobra (They’re okay, until they accidentally hypnotize themselves!) 5. Fangpyre (I hate them. They get five different sets while the other snakes are lucky to get one or two. Also, why should they get all the high-tech stuff? And finally, while there are gray, green, black, and even orange snakes, not many real-life snakes are bright red with white markings).

I think Lord Garmadon being in the dream is a clue that Lloyd is the green ninja. Also the green ninja uses jays numchucks and Lloyd main element on his booster pack card is lightning.
I figured out almost everything. in episode 6 lord garmadon will return and become the snake king and helps the snakes awaken the great devourer.
In episode 9 Kai’s dad and his friends will help the ninjas by giving them zx armour
In episode 10 Lloyd will become the green ninja
here is a few reasons why llyod becomes the green ninja
1. he has a mark on his shirt which is a green number five
2. there is going to be more sets and spinners and one of them is llyod zx and his armour is green
3. lego announced it
OBLIB, nice summary. The only thing is I’m doubtful about is the last point. I have not read anywhere, or heard anywhere any offical announcement from LEGO that Lloyd is the Green Ninja. I’m also in contact with LEGO and get all their press-releases and announcements. I have not gotten anything in this regard. The whole point of the series has been to keep that a mystery until Episode 10. Lloyd may be the Green Ninja, but to say that LEGO has announced it makes your whole argument weak. Unless of course you can prove your point. 8)

If the four weapons can turn into vehicles and transform the ninjas into ZX and NRG ninjas, my guess is that their combined power could turn Lloyd into the Green Ninja. That’s what I think anyway.

Maybe ZX stands for Zultimate Extreme…..HA! HA! HA! No. The only thing I can think of is Zap Extreme, but that sounds kind of lame. I really hope we get more pictures of the summer sets soon, considering some of them will appear in episodes over the next few weeks.
I saw “SnakeBit” last night on CN. It was awesome! I loved it when the Fangpyre bit the samurai mech and turned it into a snakerai mech! Also besides the crane, helicoppter, truck, and mecha, I also saw them bite a motorcycle. I wonder if this will be in the summer set called “The Bitecycle”? Either way I think the Fangpyre are now my 2nd favorite snake tribe, making Constrictai 3rd and Hypnobra 4th. “Evil doesn’t sleep, and neither should you.” Sensei Wu 😀

I think its eyes were purple. Maybe it’s really Lord Garmadon in disguise!! We’ve seen him alter his form before, like when he was disguised as Nya or Kai’s shadow. Turning into a black falcon wouldn’t be that much of a stretch.

The scroll said “one ninja” not “one of the four ninjas”. Since Lloyd is now helping the ninja after episode 4, he will probably train to become a ninja so he can better help them fight the Serpentine. Then near the end of the series he will transform into the Green Ninja.

Interesting theory… except for the fact that Samukai was blown into dust to create the portal, so there was nothing to merge Garmadon with.
Lego officially anounced that Lloyd is the Green Ninja at the UK Toy Fair 2012. They had all the summer figures and sets on display, including Lloyd ZX! No pictures were allowed but fortunately the New York Toy Fair is in two weeks, so we’ll probably get official photos then! 😀 “We Fangpyre bite off more than we can chew!” General Fangtom

i got one question about 2011, sensei died and went to the underworld. how did he get back and also if his father died why isn’t he in the underworld
Kai, when I watched that series, I didn’t interpret the events that Sensei Wu died. He went to the underworld by his own choice, so did the ninjas. As far as Sensei Wu’s father, the underworld may not be the only place for the dead. It may be just for badguys. 😉

Kai, I’m not an expert on the underworld as I have never been there, but the Ninja’s didn’t die either, so I don’t think you have to die to get there for a visit. At least not in this story. 😉

Where did you hear this? None of the characters die (with the possible exception of Samukai). I don’t know how Lloyd becomes Green Ninja, but it isn’t from absorbing other characters. That would be messed up!

I saw the fourth episode last night and I loved it! It was hilarious how Lord Garmadon just pulled these two huge blades out of nowhere! Seeing Kruncha and Nuckal again was funny. I loved the reunion between the Fangpyre and Hypnobra! The Epic Dragon Battle comes out in july. 🙁 I hate the wait, but it will be worth it. I’ve been saving up my money since Jan 1st, and I’m not gonna spend it until the summer sets come out! The prices are as follows: Epic Dragon Battle $119.99, Sonic Raider $69.99, Samurai Mech $39.99, and Bite Cycle $24.99 (Some are estimates, but there extremely likely, and the Epic Dragon Battle price is official).

The Epic Dragon Battle set is about the same size, as far as pieces, as the Fire temple was. It has a huge four-headed dragon, a giant green anaconda (the Great Devourer), and a small snake building. The figures included are, Lloyd ZX, NRG Jay, Sensei Wu, Lord Garmadon, General Acidicus, General Skalidor, and Choka. $119.99 is rather expensive, but this set might be worth it. Unfortunately the other three sets will probably not be worth the amount they cost. 🙁

If you got the Lego club magazine Jan.-Feb. 2012 look at the green ninja’s eyes. now zoom into lloyd garmadon’s eyes. They are exactly the same. Now look at the zx ninjas. Look at the magazine again. It has a silver thing above its eyes. Not zane or kai they have a gold one above their eyes. Bummer my REAL name is zane. cole or jay now. Jay is a lightning ninja and the lloyd card in his booster pack says he is also lightning and the green ninja defeated lord garmadon with the nunchuckes of lighnting. not cole. lloyd has a green five on his body. five for fifth ninja and green for green ninja. remember the eyes. lloyd is the green ninja.

I save my money for expensive sets. I get $5 for every A I get on my report card. $50 from my aunt for my birthday and christmas. Money and gift cards for christmas and my birthday. RED ALERT!!! The website, bricksandbooks, just got in images of all the summer 2012 sets and figures!!! The bitecycle looks just like it did in the show! And the new snakemen are awesomerific!!! The samurai mech is battling the great devourer!! It’s so awesome I think I’m about to faint! 😀 😀 😀
Lego Ninjago Rise Of The Snakes Air Dates And Summary
Episode 1 Rise of the Snakes: Dec 2 – The ninjas are snapped out of their post-hero complacency when Lord Garmadon’s young son Lloyd shows up and tries to pick up where his father left off.
Episode 2 Home: Dec 2 – Back in training mode with the looming threat of Lloyd and the Hypnobrai, Zane wanders after a Falcon and lands himself in a heap of trouble.
Episode 3 Snakebit: Jan. 25 – Lloyd unlocks a second tribe – The Fangpyres – to help him regain control. The Ninja are busy setting up their new HQ that Zane discovered, but are called to duty when the Fangpyres attack the village where Jay’s family lives.
Episode 4 Never Trust a Snake: Feb. 1 – After the Fangpyres join forces with the Hypnobrai, Lloyd awakens Pythor – the last remaining snake of the Anacondrai tribe. Pythor steals a map from him that will show him where the remaining two snakes tribes dwell.
Episode 5 Can of Worms: Feb. 8 – Lloyd moves in and tries to make nice by helping out with chores, but he just gets in the way. Pythor has awoken the Venomaris and the Constrictis and an all out snake war has taken over Ninjago.
Episode 6 The Snake King: Feb. 15 – Pythor declares himself to be the destined leader who will reawaken The Great Devourer – an ancient beast who can’t be killed and will consume all of Ninjago.
Episode 7 Tick Tock: Feb. 22 – When the four ninja follow the mysterious falcon into the woods, they stumble on a hidden work shop where Zane learns the secret about his past and in the process, he is the first ninja to unlock his true potential.
Episode 8 Once Bitten, Twice Shy: Feb. 29 – Jay and Nya have to cut their first date in Mega-Monster Amusement Park short as the Serpentine are on their way to retrieve the first or four fang blades to be used to awaken the Great Devourer.
Episode 9 The Royal Blacksmiths: March 7 – The four ninja go undercover as a dance troupe and enter a talent contest in their quest to win “The Blade Cup” where one of the fang blades is hidden.
Episode 10 The Green Ninja: March 14 – The ninjas are suspicious when Lord Garmadon moves in to help searching for his missing son – but realize they have to work together in their attempt to rescue Lloyd from the snakes Finding out he is the Green Ninja
Episode 11 All of Nothing: March 21 – The ninja and Sensei Wu try to infiltrate the Serpentines’ inner sanctum and walk right into a trap, and when Lloyd’s rescue mission fails, there is only one person who can help them, namely the evil Lord Garmadon.
Episode 12 The Final Hour Part 1: March 28 – The ninja haste to the lost city of Ouroboros to try to stop Pythor from awaking The Great Devourer but it is a race against time.
Episode 13 The Final Hour Part 2: March 28 – Disaster threatens as the ninja must fight to defeat the all consuming Great Devourer in a desperate attempt to save Ninjago.”

Pythor and Skales are found digging in the desert looking for a lost city known as “Ouroborous”. Pythor finds a switch while digging and when turned, the lost city emerges from the sand. Meanwhile, the ninjas receive a package with there ZX outfits. They are then told by Nya that Serpentine have invaded Mega Monster amusement park. By the time they are there, they find the serpentine tied up. They are told by the parks guests that a mysterious samurai came and saved the park. Sensei Wu tells them to not be jealous of the samurai but to be inspired by him. They decide whoever finds out the identity of the samurai shall become the Green Ninja. They each attempt to capture the samurai but fail. While Kai is baby sitting Lloyd, he leaves him at an arcade so he can look for the samurai. Lloyd notices Skales telling the other Serpentine of Ouroborus offering them to go on a Serpentine Bus, Lloyd comes disguised as a Hypnobrai. The bus takes them to Ouroborus where Pythor challenges to fight the generals for there allegiance. Skales secretly gives Pythor the flute to charm the Serpentine in return to be Pythor’s second-in-command. With the flute, Pythor forces the generals to give up there staffs. He then becomes leader of the snake tribes. Then, Lloyd drops the maracas that he was holding and the Serpentine find out he was Lloyd, which is the point where he gets imprisoned. Back at the destiny, Sensei Wu asks about Lloyd and the ninjas respond that they have not seen him, and they get sent to find him. The ninjas find Lloyd’s tracks and they find the lost city of “Ouroborous”. They try to make a sneak attack to rescue the boy but get captured, get their golden weapons taken away, and are forced to fight Samurai X. After a long time of fighting, they start to work together to get out of their. The ninjas grab onto the mech suit and fly off to safety while Samurai X gets in a fight with the Serpentine and then later flies off to safety too, with the golden weapons. While in the sky, Samurai X’s rocket boots shut down and he hits the ground. Meanwhile, the mech suit also shuts down and the ninjas hit the ground, Kai being seperated by the rest of the group. Kai sees Samurai X fall to the ground and goes to help, but finds out that he was Nya. Nya begs Kai not to tell which Kai agrees to. Nya gives Kai the golden weapons and he goes to find the rest of the group, which he does. They go to the Destiny, not bringing back Lloyd which made Sensei Wu upset. Nya then goes to her room to put her costume away dropping a weapon of her’s, which is later picked up by Sensei Wu. Wu then says “Metal sharpens Metal, just like a Sibling sharpens Sibling”.

admin have you considered about what is in season 3 well i found out that there will be an ultimate spinjitzu master out of the 5 ninjas and that lord garmadon becomes really powerful and threatens ninjago
i also found out in one of the episodes in season 3 the serpentine return and in season 3 the enemy is pirates or was it an stone creature army

The episode starts off with Zane testing how long he can stay underwater. The four ninja begin training, and come to the conclusion that they have reached their full potential. They ask Sensei Wu if he believes that they have reached their full potential. He says that they may have reached their full physical potential, but they have long before they reach their inner potential. He tells a story of him and Garmadon, and that Garmadon was bitten by a snake that would never stop growing. The Serpentine that bit him was the Great Devourer. It was what turned him into the dark lord. Wu sets off to find somebody to help take down the Great Devourer.
Meanwhile, the Serpentine are looking for the Fang Blades. The ninja are placing wanted posters for the Fang Blades as well. Zane enters a trance, and the Falcon soon appears. They all follow him far across Ninjago. Jay decides to take a rest, then Cole. Zane and Kai continue to follow the falcon, when Kai decides to drop out as well. Zane discovers that the Falcon is really a robot, and is suddenly approached by a robotic mech. The ninja and robot battle until Zane cross-wires the mech. Zane finds a shed that he enters because he has the same symbol as is on the building. Zane finds a blueprint hidden that causes him to go into an emotional shock.
The four ninja catch up to the place where they find Zane. Zane shows him his blueprint, and that he is really a Nindroid. The other three ninja leave to give Zane some time, though they are confronted by several treehorns. Meanwhile, Zane finds his “memory switch”, and instantly recalls his creator and when he was new. His creator makes him a falcon to be his partner, as he passes away. He says “You are the son I never had”, along with “you were Before he dies, he flips off Zane’s memory switch. Zane leaves the memory and goes to help his friends. During his battle, he unlocks his true potential.
Meanwhile, Pythor, Skalidor, Skales, Acidicus, and Fangtom are arguing over their lack of a map to the fang blades. Suddenly, the Constrictai Staff and the Venomari Staff are knocked to the ground and begin leaking venom. Pythor notices this, and places all five Serpentine Staffs over the blank map. They all begin dripping venom, and the map to the Fang Blades appears.
Sensei Wu finishes brewing his tea, and pours it around his fire. A portal appears, in which he enters. He lands in a dark place, where he is approached by Lord Garmadon.
